Starting with Military Orders
List #4
What you need:
Military Orders Starter Boxed Set
Magister Knights Boxed Set
Dire Foes 5: Viral Outbreak
Operation Icestorm (split if with one of the local Nomad players! ;)) gives you the Father Knight and Fusilliers.
The List:
Magister Knight (Light Shotgun + Panzerfaust)
Magister Knight (Light Shotgun + Panzerfaust)
Magister Knight (Light Shotgun + Panzerfaust)
Magister Knight (EXP CCW)
Magister Knight (Missile Launcher)
Mulebot (Minesweeper)
Indigo Brother Konstantinos (Infiltration)
Spec. Sergeant (Infiltrating Forward Observer)
Spec. Sergeant (Infiltrating Forward Observer)
Father Knight (Assault Hacker)
–
Fusillier (Combi Rifle)
Fusillier (Heavy Machine Gun)

Still shot from Giraldez’s Youtube Channel, showing the Father Knight.

In this list I link the terrifying force of the Magister link with a good load of amazing Specialists the MO has to offer.
The Mulebot has the Baggage rule, which allows it to reload the Panzerfausts the Linkteam shoots off. These have a limited ammo, but combined with the Baggage bot, the linkteam can reload these weapons again. This makes them even more fearsome, as the link already stocks up on 8 Panzerfausts but now has access to a way to shoot 8 and reload again.
Get these guys in a good position and you wonโt have to move them around a lot, allowing you to spend their orders on the specialists in the rest of the army.
Brother Konstantinos is a character, comes equipped with a MSV2, Mimetism and is a Specialist + carries D-Charges. This is a toolbox that can do a lot of things for your army. He also Infiltrates, which means he can begin the game much closer to the objectives. Not bad at all! The MO army lacks any smoke option, but it doesnโt mean the MSV2 will come in handy against other armies. Mimetism allows Konstantinos to survive some stray ARO, and with the D-charges he can get hold of certain objectives in the game.
The Father Knight is another beast, and an Assault Hacker to booth. With a BTS9 the Father Knight will be hard to get hacked back, and it dishes out hurt with a high (for PanOceania) WIP. Comes with D-Charges, an Assault Hacking device to wreck some face and a Double Action CCW. His ARM5 and BTS9 allow him to shrug off many attacks, and at the same time his BS14, CC23 allow him to eat through many opponents.
The Fusiliers are there to give this list a cheap Lieutenant, which frees up the Knights a bit more, allowing you to use them more to their potential a bit more. The lone HMG is a good ARO piece, able to bring some high Burst fire power, without putting too many points in the fray.

If you aren’t running fusiliers what are the most solid Lt. Options for an MO you reckon? Also are Santiago too pricey for a link team?
The standout Lieutenant Option are as follows.
1st for Objective Missions.
Deferesen – Being arguably one of the best thanks to being a Specialist armed with a Spitfire and a Template CCW! Higher than average WIP and solid CC and BS!
1st for Everything Else and Utility.
Joan of Arc – Is amazing thanks to her Inspiring Leadership allowing for cheap irregular troops/profiles to be used as Regular Order generators instead. Need more Warcors! Shes also punchy as hell with BS 15 and CC 23 and has a high WIP at 15!
1st for Countering Canny Opponents.
Knights of the Holy Sepulchre – Are where it’s really at if you want to take the predictability out of your lists and counter LT hunting thanks to their Holoprojectors they can use LVL 1 and appear as any model on the table that’s not a remote or TAG basically. Decent CC, BS and WIP 14 and if they get sprung they start using LVL 2 to go hunting for things with their Spitfire or D.E.P.
Honorable Mentions.
Hospitallers & Teutonic Knights – Are kind of your in between LT if you want someone who won’t get assassinated easily but also doesn’t cost an arm and leg. WIP 13 in PanO isn’t anything to cough at and a Multi Rifle is good in both Active and Reactive turns. While the Combi rifle and Panzerfaust Combo that the Teutonic Knight has will make most people think twice about getting to close to him.
No Real Point take a Fusilier and Save the Points.
Father Knights, Knights Montesa and Knights Santiago – Are OK but for a similar cost you can take Joan of Arc or something cheaper to save the points for use where you need it.
No recommendation for the Santiago Knights?
They are redundant as a link team.
Expensive, have access to SSL2 which is often as good as if not better than 360 degree visors, lack specialists and don’t even get access to Deferesen.
No you don’t take Santiago Knights in links you take them as single HI to get the most out of their 360 visors they can protect your rear/flanks and try to mess everything the shit up with their E/M grenades. Even then I would much rather have Domaru Butai who are cheaper and have E/M CCW to boot.
Does anyone have any advice for an MO list focusing on Joan? Can’t seem to find one that suits my fancy.
Point and SWC limit?
Also ITS/specialist missions or just plain to the death games?
300 with a 12xp Spec Ops, ITS is what my group usually does.
10 Models 9 Regular and 1 Irregular order (Joan fixes that for you though)
DE FERSEN Hacker (Hacking Device) Spitfire / Pistol, Templar CCW (AP + Shock). (2 | 60)
JOAN OF ARC Lieutenant MULTI Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, AP CCW. (+1 | 49)
KNIGHT HOSPITALLER Doctor (MediKit) MULTI Rifle / Pistol, AP CCW. (41)
KNIGHT HOSPITALLER Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, DA CCW. (33)
KNIGHT HOSPITALLER Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, DA CCW. (33)
Very punchy midfield link team with 2 specialists Defersen is the better of the two with his WIP 14. Would be a real bitch to move something like this out of the armoury or any of those ITS missions where you control areas.
SPEC. SERGEANT (CH: TO Camouflage, Infiltration, Forward Observer) Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (27)
Hidden deployment specialist also covering off on the need for a Forward Observer or deploy him as TO marker if you think you will need his order.
PATHFINDER DRONBOT Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (16)
I love these remotes in all the factions!
Fast backfield, midfield or opponents table edge specialist again also a Forward Observer, plus a repeater for Defersen or your Spec Ops Hacker and also have the useful sensor skill if you come up against allot of Camo. Looking at you Ariadna lists. -_-
NDIGO Combi Rifle, MULTI Sniper / Pistol, Knife. (13 / 12XP)
MOV:4-4 CC:15 BS:12 PH:10 WIP:14 ARM:1 BTS:0 W:1
Religious Troop, Hacking Device, Engineer
This guy makes the list really ITS viable being another hacker can give Assisted Fire to your Sierra or if you take the other assault remotes Enhances Reaction. Then still be a decent ARO threat himself with his MSR. Finally he is your engineer for those annoying Engineer objectives.
SIERRA DRONBOT HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25)
Total Reaction douche bot could also be a Peacemaker or Bulleteer depends on what you like more.
WARCOR (Sixth Sense L1) Flash Pulse / Stun Pistol, Knife. (3)
3 Point regular order thanks to Joan!
3 SWC (+1) | 300 Points
This does look like a lot of fun. I’ll have to give it a try when I get a chance. Thanks a lot!
I tried this list out yesterday in Biotechvore and it works outstandingly well! Thank you so much for helping me out.
Please, oh please let the next one be for JSA! ๐
@nick I almost said that we need a JSA write-up from Claudius Sol, but then I realized that I can write it for him!
“Hey guys, JSA is fun! In every list take 5 Aragoto and Yojimbo. The rest is filler and irrelevant!”
There’s your JSA write up!
Funny enough, that is exactly what I bought to start JSA, 3 biker boxes and Yojimbo! I’m just not sure if I should link the LI, or spend a little bit more and pick up some MI to link.
I’m working on it! Please be patient!
Any progress? ๐
Well, as a matter of fact.. Claudius is scheduled to write his JSA starting article soon. ๐ I already came to the same conclusion Popinfrsh… none better than Claudius to show people the Highway of the Samurai.
You guys are awesome, thanks!
I’ve only played two games of Infinity so far, but I’ve settled on the MO. How do the Crusader Brethren fit in? In other games I’ve always slightly favored a rush in and fight force. More than any other wargame I’ve played Infinity seems to have done the best job by a good bit of making sure that there are no units that seem over-costed points wise, but looking at lists online I don’t see the Crusader Brethren show up all that often.
They’re a specialist, but not in the “Specialist Troop” way.
While I can’t speak specifically to Crusader Brethren, I do love my Sikh Commandos. More often then not, I find myself grabbing a cheap one with a Shotgun. I rarely spring for the HMG, though it’s perfectly acceptable, especially if you have the SWC to spare.
Amusingly enough, with an HMG, you’ll likely find yourself using AD level 2 instead of 4. More reliable and you can often find good targets with the range of an HMG.
Hi
I’m new to this I have I would like to build a squad including 1 hospitallier and 2 father knight and a Joan v2
