Starting With NeoTerra Capitaline Army

List #1: Fighting with your teeth.

This is a good and affordable starting list, with great expanding potential. It gives a taste of playing the NCA, without you having to buy deep in immediately.

What you need:
NCA Starter Boxed Set
Bolts SWC Boxed Set

The List
NeoTerra Bolts (Combi Rifle)
NeoTerra Bolts (Combi Rifle)
NeoTerra Bolts (DropBear)
Neoterra Bolts (Spitfire)
NeoTerra Bolts (Boarding Shotgun)
Aquila Guard (Multi Rifle)
Hexa (Spitfire)

Like already stated: the Bolts are the fighters of PanOceania. They keep a cool head when everything else seems to crumble down. They’ll fight with their teeth if they have to, after shooting every magazine in their pockets empty, dropping every mine on the table, and they lost their gun when it came stuck in their last victims face while beating him to death with it. That’s their fiction at least. 😉

In real life, the Bolts keep your fighting spirit high. You want to run an obvious and aggressive Lieutenant? With Bolts, you can! And NCA has a couple of very, very obvious Lieutenants. We all know the effects of losing your Lieutenant. You’ll start the next turn in Loss of Lieutenant and your entire force will become irregular for one turn. While not as cripling as it was back in 2nd edition, it still hurts your force’s mobility and effectiveness. Having a full link of Bolts will power your force with at least 5 regular orders during this turn. Don’t be afraid to run your Lieutenant forward. You don’t have to hide him, afraid of losing your next turn to the effects of LoL.

The Aquila has a big target on its head in this list. Seeing as he and the 2 Combi Rifle Bolts are the only ones in the lists capable of being the Lieutenant, expect your opponent to try and take him out quick. At this point range, it will take your opponent a lot of effort to take him out, or he has to be lucky or well-prepared.

The Multi Rifle profile has the ability to load different ammo-types, making the Aquila either a good armour hunter with Armour Piercing rounds (halves ARM), or a great ARO piece, with Double Action Ammo (forcing two ARM saves instead of one).

The Hexa can keep the surprise effect at this level. The list might be low on orders when he remains in Hidden Deployment, but it does not lack in fire power. If you want to have more orders at the start of your turn, keep the Hexa out of Hidden Deployment, and deploy him as a marker. It’s all up to you in the end. 😉

Just a small addition to your last list: You can switch the 3 Fusilier Boxes/Blister with the new 4-Fusilier-Box. Nicer, new models and still including an HMG and a Hacker 🙂 Please keep up the work! Would really like to see lists like this for all factions and sectorials!

Yes, it is a recent addition to the catalogues and the series is on hold, so I haven’t updated the articles yet. When N3 hits the shelves, we’ll redo the already published ones and continue with the series, using the new unit loadouts/cost.

Thank you for the compliment. We’re planing to continue this series as soon as N3 is in the picture and we’ve had a taste of the new rules!
