March Preview #3: Azra’il Feuerbach

THe Azra’il was a big surprise in N3. Formerly a small and feeble sculpt (especially for a Heavy Infantry), N3 updated the profile making it a Haqqislamic Yan Huo; big, tough, sturdy and with lots of Firepower.

Since the old sculpt wouldn’t cut it anymore to represent the Azra’il profile on the table, CB needed to crank out a sculpt soon. Here we are!

Coming on a 40mm base, the Azra’il has the Silhouette 5 attribute making his Islamic brothers only come to his shoulders. A big guy.

I love how CB captured the pose of the original sculpt, as it was one of the first things I encountered of Infinity and it actually made me want to start the game. And I know I’m not the only one! 😉

This beast will become a terror on the battlefield, sporting his mighty Feuerbach and holding it tight to cope with the recoil. Magnificent!

Love this figure, could be tempted to start a QK force. Any chance of a ‘starting with’ article for QK Scorch?

      No, not a “chance” 😛
Such article is ready and it is awaiting it’s turn in the publication queue.

You may start your QK force before it hits the DataSphere Blog, though.
However, I must say i’m not sold on the Azra’il. They were one of my favourite units back in 2ed, but the N3 version… doesn’t seem to do the trick for me (the biggest bummer is the lack of the 3rd profile that wasn’t so expensive on SWC).

Errhile is the QK man when it comes to the articles. It will be a while before it is published, probably in the next round of Sectorials, as we just published Hassassins.

I love the figure too, but I agree with Errhile; the Azra’il fills a completely different role in N3 than it did in 2nd Edition. It’s still the Haqqislam pain-train in my opinion, so not a bad choice at all. Personal preferences and such! 😉

Thanks for your replies guys! I’ve ordered a QK starter, and I shall wait for a while to expand until I can paint those 6 figures.

That’s a good start! Together with the vanilla starter I find them the best buys for a incoming QK force. If you need some advice on further purchases, be sure to hit the forums! 🙂
