Starting With Haqqislam

List #2 – Blaze of Glory

This list is made mostly for the fun of it, but it also makes use of the Kum Biker (namely, Kasym Beg himself) and his lightning mobility. Possible TO Camo / ODD targets would have to be countered with Naffatun flamethrowers or just rifle fire, which is far from perfect.

What will you need for this list:

• Haqqislam Starter Set,
• Kasym Beg box set,
• Naffatun blister (containing 2 Naffatun HFT),
• Hassassin Farzan blister,
• Lasiq Sniper blister (optional)
• Haqqislam support box (optional) 

198pts, 1.5 SWC

• There is a trio of LFT Naffatuns (two proxied by HFT Naffatuns).
• A trio of Ghulams, one proxying a Doctor (or an actual Ghulam Doc if you decided to go for the Support Pack).
• a Nasmat REM (either a genuine one if you have the Support box, or virtually any small model to proxy it, it is a S 1 model with no combat capability after all. Even a spare die or a makeshift proxy bent out of a paper clipper will do if you place them on a 25mm base / counter) to extend the Doctor’s effective reach.
• A Lasiq Sniper (you can proxy him with the Hunzakut sniper from the starter set, or go for a genuine model) to provide long range, extremely deadly AROs and support fire.
• An Ahl Faseed (proxy him with the starter box Janissary) for general assault use. He’s not Religious, but in exchange he brings in a Panzerfaust.
• Kasym Beg, the Lt. He will have 12 Orders at his disposal – Lt’s Order, his own Impetous Order, and then ten Regular Orders from the rest of the army. Place him carefully, and then let him strike whatever you perceive the biggest danger. With 8-6 MOV and 12 Orders, you can get to any point of the table and attack any target. The Panzerfaust is to be fired on the way against targets of opportunity (especially those heavily armed and / or armored, preferably against their back), and you intend to either massacre large groups of light infantry with your Chain Rifle, or enter Close Combat with your CC 23 and EXP CCW. Keep in mind that your Smoke Grenades and Smoke Light Grenade Launcher will be critical for covering your advance. Also, should he be Wounded, do not hesitate to declare Dogged. Kasym Beg’s destiny is to go down in a blaze of glory, so you only need to concern yourself with him taking enough enemies with him.
• Hassassin Farzan (Chain of Command variant) is the guy who will take over the force once Kasym Beg bites it, so you wouldn’t have to play a turn in Loss of lieutenant.

The advantage of this list is it’s extraordinarily high Order count, and equally high mobility.

The problems – the list is short on high-power, high-Burst weapons.
