Update on New Skills of the May releases!

These skills are some of the first tidbits we can use from the upcoming third edition of Infinity; N3! 

Marksmanship

Doremicon from The DIRT at The Bell of Lost Souls posted a preview of the changes to the Markmanship rule that will appear with the May Infinity releases. No word on the exact source of the rule or the exact wording of it, but he has posted a summary of the changes as well as several examples showing how the new rule will work. The Kazak Spetznaz will be one of the first models to have access to this new rule as well as the Ambushed Camouflage rule.
Highlights: Marksmanship Level 1 counts as Shock Ammo even when combined with other ammo types. Level 2 ignores -3 BS modifier for cover.

Update 02/06/2014: Marksmanship Level 3 will negate the +3 armour bonus of cover as well. A unit in partial cover will count as being out in the open with Marksmanship Level 3.

Right now, we now nothing yet of the costs of these skills.

Ambusher Skill

News on the Ambusher Skill was released by MayaCast in their third episode, on the first of June. The Ambusher Skill will allow the player to put an extra camouflage marker on the table. This extra camouflage marker will be empty, but your opponent will need to spend orders on discovering which marker is the real model, and which one is the decoy. All the while being able to catch some bullets from your own models, and maybe even from the Ambusher himself!

Combine this skill with mine-layer shenanigans and you have a perfect recipe for camouflage mind games! Your opponent will just see lots of camouflage markers, but has no way of knowing if some are mines, some are ambushers, some are just empty decoys, and wether or not any of those things are a serious threat to him! Awesome! It puts a whole new level of tactics to the game! We’re excited to see which models will have this skill in N3.
