"Gil's Eats"- Warsenal's new Building System

by popg0estheworld » June 25th, 2013, 7:39 pm

Greetings, all!

I just finished painting my new Warsenal Alpha building, so I thought I would share some pics! I posted these over on the official Infinity boards too, but I'm trying to spread the love.

I'll try to get some pics of it on my table soon.
The sign not only lights up, but it blinks. I re-purposed some Christmas Village mini-LED lights for that.
I shaded it with Secret Weapon Weathering Pigments, which was easier, and more fun than I expected (though it was a mess).

Christmas LED lights...superb, but so much wire for most of them. How do you manage? Doesn't it get in the way?

It was not too bad- you will see that there is quite a cluster behind the sign- I kind of like the way it came out with all the wire clusters and bulb nubbins.
I couldn't find a link the the exact ones I used, but mine were somewhat like this- http://www.amazon.com/Cold-White-Lights ... mas+lights (at least as far as the batteries and such go- Mine only uses two AAs)
I did have to run the wire around the inside of the roof again, but with a little accessorizing, it just looks like part of the terrain.

The flashing lights distract me while I am playing!! :D But seriously it is a good looking building and I like the weathering write up. I am give it a go on some of my MAS buildings... then have you critique them when done... promise to be gentle!
