Wow! It's been almost twoo weeks since I wrote something. Operation Flamestorm is taking it's toll on me :P

I just got a box with some MDV/Pleksi pieces from Micro Art Studio and tomorrow should receive the Titan Forge's delivery as well. So happy :)

Here's what MAS produced for me:

PS: More pics (along with some features for this one and an explanation why does it look like this) will appear in the next part of "The Colony' Special Project...

I was bussy lately, with some articles appearing on my website, still with no miniatures to show here. Finally a bunch appeared, and I see a bright future, full of Infinity miniatures, as I got a plenty of commission orders from around the world :)

Here's what I work on right now (most are for me, Intruder is a commission tho, and in the background some more ALEPH for a friend),

Also an interresting thing happened to me couple of days ago - I was playing in Micro Art Studio, when they proposed that they would like to produce my Corregidor Bases in mass. Might be that I will design a serie of bases especially for Micro Art Studio :)

Do you have any idea when that line of bases might become available for purchase? Weeks? Months? Years?

Difficult to say - I know fdor sure that Kickstarter literally overwhelmed the production department of MAS. I hope to close the deal this week if possiblem then start to work with new bases :) Once I'm on it - it will be done in two weeks, then it's up to MAS to start producing.

Allright - I got a green light, we also managed to come in to terms with MAS. They will send me the bases required to start working ono ASAP, once received I will start preparing them which will take aproximately two weeks. They should be stocked with new bases up to month after receiving the final product. So the correct answer is - 'months' and rather two to three max ;)

Love all of it, i really should get to try your white recipe on something and would love to see some info on your green glowy parts. Particularly the Asura in the ALEPH gallery looks freaking amazing although she precisely is one of the units without TO or Mimetism.

But these guys, these guys:

Loved seeing those this morning, still imagine the little cartoonish-sounding "WEEEEEEE!" that should precede the explosions

I've been wondering what it was, but I think I know now.

I love almost everything about your style. It's good.

But (you knew there was one coming) I think your whites are too flat... There's no depth and no tone to them. It's particularly noticeable on Penny's bike there and the Mk.III.

Thanks mate and also thanks for critique. My white actually IS FLAT, as this is the way I wanted it to be. Penny has some shadows which look too natural in the pic - they look like an actual shadow - which can be seen only in real life - but her aside, I keep my white pure and flat - it is the style I've choosen for my nomads and my friend's ALEPH.

schoon wrote:How did you make the exploded versions?

Glad you like them. I actually cut Koalas in two and then sculpted the explosions using Greenstuff. It's easier than it looks. Then I used couple of paints to gradualy paint the explosions. Like black+dark red, Dark red, Red, Orange, Yellow, Yellow + White, White, some Yellow etc. Airbrushed all - with Koalas having just a single layer with a regular brush on them.

And as I'm in the mood before this weekend's Painting Contest themed 'Best Army' and Polish Championships - here are my two WIP's:

Image
This one is already done, but I can't show it before this weekend. Anyone who'd like to see it early can visit my SITE, where a complete piece will be posted at 20.00 CET, (new Special Project post with step by step and all).

Image
And this one - well it's a raw pic - just taken, will try to finish before saturday's big tournament. I do hope to manage that feat of painting. Damn I have so much things to do before the tournament, but the miniature... hope to boost my army's visuals to compete in a Painting Contest... Who knows this chick XD?

I'm now occupied with a HUGE commission for Warhammer 40,000, but I've took a small break just to paint these BEACONS:

All made out of Warhammer 40,000 leftovers. These were painted as a test for Vallejo Airbrush Flow Improver - damn this thing is soooo goooood!

Hey guys,

Was quiet for a while as this month is totally dominated by a single huge WH40k commission. I miss painting Infinity so much, where are some new Nomad miniatures?!?! Hope to see some fine box soon - maybe Taskmasters?

Regardless of dozens 40k miniatures occupying my workbench, I was able to use that paint job to create some new articles that might be of interrest to some of you. Here's the first article:
TUTORIAL: PAINTING DESERT ROCK BASES

Image

Random quote:
Light Brown followed, being airbrushed over the base. Once again I tried to cover some spots better than the others. This time tho I tried not to paint over sand too much, just some delicate puffs of paint.

Hope you like it,

Hey guys - I'm back to infinity! Just finished a big Warhammer 40,000 commission, and everything indicates that some Infinity is next in line. A grand commission of TOHAA will drop on me shortly, while right now I used a day off to paint this ALEPH Asura - a test before a 'maybe' commission. I hope some more ALEPH will follow this one - I love to paint some lvl 5 miniatures.

(Colours are a bit bleak due to a shadow tent being used to take this pics.)

Another lvl 5 miniature - this time a last piece for the 'I AM NOMAD' promo campaign, related to Operation Flamestrike. I was asked to exchanged a Mobile Brigada for a more Bakunin-friendly miniature. Reverend Healer is the result :)

Hope you like the miniature and see how my technique progresses through time. I'm getting accustomed to a brand new collection of Vallejo paints and fell in love with Light Livery Green when it comes to painting light :)

Love the Kanren, though I think I'm going to hate myself and paint my Imperial Service in the black&teal Shence pattern.

That's a LOT of artichokes to paint!

Thanks mate. Personally I'm in love with the regular colour scheme (Orange, grey, turquise) but this time I just followed the customer's prefferences. I love the fact that CB provides us with many awesome colour schemes to choose between.

A new Tutorial is online for all those who are interrested.
TUTORIAL: PAINTING MICRO ART STUDIO CONCRETE WALLS

Random quote and a pic:
" I gently arbrushed Vallejo White Surface Primer over the set. First I tried to cover entire surface from afar (15cm distance, constant flow, see pic - dark spots), then I outlined center of each flat surface with additional layers (5cm distance, soft puffs of paint, see pic - light spots). This resulted in the surfaces gaining some extra shadows. "
