@Nazroth : Haha :D That wasn't my intention :P God, I need to clean up my work station, or stop taking pictures in the middle of the night. Kasztelan - what an inappropriate product placement :cop:

I'm working on Seraph's Armor :). He's gonna look like a classic PanOceanian TAG. I'm going to make pure, white wings for him. Maybe with some pattern on them, if I will be able to do this :) .
I wanted to create more complicated base and maybe more dynamic pose, cause he has Super Jump rule
Unfortunately, he's too heavy and it would be difficult to use him for playing. I'm still not sure how to paint the base.

Looking very nice, Shizune!

I see that you too suffer from multi-chromatic painters thumb!

It's a bit hard to see the details, but the shading and color separation look fantastic from this distance.

As for the base, you could always put in some rubble that implies the Seraph just crashed in through the ceiling or something.

This would probably make the base rather delicate, but here's a rather cool way, or if you prefer it with water it's also possible (this one looks to me like it'd be a liiiitle bit sturdier

Just use the right mouse button on the pick and open it in another window - you will have a really, really big picture to apreciate all the details...

This girl is just crazy with the brush, one might say she's a better painter than Angel Giraldez. sure - it's matter of taste but her style is out of this world.

Plastic armature (or hot glue) and acrylic gel "delicate"? It will be like rubber blobs. You will need scissors to cut that.

Someday I will figure how to get that to work as expected... because here it loads a new HTML, then you can click the magnifier (if I use the context menu on that, I get a medium sized version) and then use the context menu to see the damn big version. Or download the image with plain old command line tool and open that.

Nice details, indeed.

The paint will fall off due to stress damage - it is not a very durable method. I used it couple of times, then decided to forfeit using silicone except for 'saliva'.

Silicone? Where? Water effects are acrylic gels... "thick paint". More layers of acrylic should stick to each other. Real silicone is hard to paint (sometimes they stick to themselves... so mix pigment and new coat), but other things are formulated to be painted.
If you mean the hot glue... different types avaliable, and I would avoid them anyway because that ("random" if now just unknown by shop person) and the burns.

Hmm... I'm not particularly convinced on that hot glue effect. It just looks like a mess to me, rather than the desired effect.

Neither I. I would use the other system, with sand along the gel, for impacts in soft soil. Or some other methods I have seen with foam. I think hot glue is OK to... glue things. *badumtish* And when position and cleanliness is not important.

For crashing through the roof, just debris... and lots of dust all over the place including the model. So probably would leave it as unless you go for a real look.

It is very impressive, but I think Shizune would get less paint on her thumb, and concomitantly more on her mini, if she drank less Kasztelan while painting ;)... I know, I know, 'painter's thumb'. Here in the US it seems using the thumbnail instead of the skin is the thing, but in Europe the opposite...

Hot melt glue and miniatures, this is not a good combination. Ever.

Not going insane, Photobucket trickery hits other people too. http://support.ourboard.org/viewtopic.p ... 849#p22376 I did some tests, and (currently?) they do the trick based in the browser User Agent (used a fake, then no redirect).

Just start a blog at google's blogspot - upload imiges to an open 'new' post, open them in another window (right click etc), copy url, then close without saving - all pics will stay with your google account either way - saved as a part of the blog. No need to even post on the blog. This way you have an unlimited server for pics.

Imgur has worked well enough for me, but the google blog thing, I have a few friends who use it and are pleased enough with it. Imgur does make it easy to post images elsewhere, providing a handy sidebar with all the HTML tags, so CTRL-C -> CTRL-V is all you need to do.

So, I think I'll at least make an effort for this one, even though at painting I am slow as molasses flowing uphill during well, this time of year ;)
Bootleg Penthesilea ought to fit the bill. The mini makes a fine Kum biker, and a fine Nazarova-- better IMHO than either of the Nazarova minis. Go figure.

Kardashian? Are you referring to the Penthesilea mini? There's no need to insult it. Besides, its trasero is not nearly large enough to be even remotely similar to a Kardashian's. I suspect that watching any Kardashian walk away is like watching two small, but very fat children, fighting underneath a blanket.

Painting progress is slow. The hands are not cooperating so much at the moment, which means more terrain work and less mini painting.

Thank you for the vote of confidence, Shizune. We shall see. The idea of more Kardashians though...shudder.

I did manage to get some painting done, finally. Early to midway WIP.

Colors are blocked in, and I am playing around with the highlighting and details. The knee pads are bizarrely shaped. I'm fairly confident that Penthesilea will turn out reasonably well. Not confident about the bike. It is a big piece of metal. Both are proving awkward to paint.

Red ochre and cadmium yellow (deep). The main colors on Penthesilea.
