Well...damn.

S'cuse my while I dab at me eyes. Been weepin' some bitter tears of inadequacy. Some of the stuff you guys is showin' makes me realise I still gots me a ways to go. Beautiful stuff.

For my part, I jus' about got the Azra'il done. Ish. I might strip them down and try again at a later point, but as is...no more time to tinker with the weathering powder and washes. Oh, an I got myself a light tent for picture takin'. Still need to get some more daylight lamps to brighten things up...but for now see here me entries to the competition. An' try not to giggle too much.

Right, it's the deadline. Might be a good idea to get a pic uploaded before I get wildly drunk on mead..

That Azra'il looks badass all weathered up the way he is. Gorgeous.

Alright then, time to show our cards, eh?

Fixed some minor mistakes and enhanced a few lines with minor brush strokes, but here it is:

Ehm... is it possible that a lot of votes dissapeared over night? I could swear last time I checked there were way more voters here...

Since one entry wasn't in the list to vote it was added later. This sadly caused the loss of all votes and Claudius asked all to vote again.

Since there's even more votes right now than there were yesterday, I think everything should be fine.

And the addition of Yoshinto was well worth it, I think. A beautiful miniature, that shouldn't go unnoticed. :)

Definitely. And people have a month to get their votes in, right?

Yoshinto, I really like the muted colour scheme you've used and love that red desert base. Out of interest, how did you do the short static grass tufts?

Bleh I'm a bit annoyed that life caught up with me and I didn't really get a chance to take new photos of my mini before I realized the date passed.

I don't suppose retrospective new photos count even if I pinky promise I didn't work on them after the turn of the month? :P

I'm guessing Claudius would encourage you to post your pics (we'd love to see 'em :) ) but it being incorporated into the voting thread might be tricky. Seems like all the votes could get wiped if a new one is added.

Will there be another part of the painitng campaign?
What will it cover (I wasn't participating this time, as the only model eglible in my recent painting batch - Asawira Doc - was already started when the scope of Summer Painitng was revealed :()

I certainly hope so. Maybe we could go for a group of minis that many people neglect - HVTs and Civilians, like the Warcors, the CSU, the commissar and the like. I mean, I'm not a veteran Infinity player, but as far as I understood, you should have at least one of those fellows for certain missions, right?

These are also a good way to flex your painting muscles even more, due to painting faces, clothes and the like. So I think that might prove a nice challenge. But it's also just my 2 cents. :)

Great suggestion! Let's motivate folks to get their HVT painted up. I've always had a soft spot for the civvies and am pleased that they are getting some love from Corvus Belli in terms of minis and as objectives/journalists in game.

Ah, no-go for me in that case: I have my share of civvies painted long ago, and nothing awaiting in the "silver models" box...

Is there such a thing as "to many civvies"?

If yes, I haven't found it.

I would speak up for a HVT-Campaign aswell, but only if "foreign" miniatures are in the mix aswell. Otherwise the pond might be a little to shallow...

You guys are certainly welcome to do your own little mini-campaign, if you'd like. The next season for the campaign starts in July. Hmm... should I give a hint as to the theme?
