Suryat stripped, cleaned of the sneaky mold line and re-primed with black and white primers. Hopefully that's enough to get in!

Looks fine to me. Carry on!

It's almost unbelievable that Tarik is a "LI" classification. But he does, indeed, fit the requirements for the campaign! Welcome!

How about this one or does his blue base invalidate him? :?

I intend to re-spray the base anyway tbh.

So I may be switching gears...(crazy I know but its what I do  ) The red scheme isn't hitting me like I'd like...and then I was reminded I have this baller Tarik model I've been wanting to paint...so just in case I decide to switch, here he is.

Is it possible to see the actual model and not just the blister? I need to be able to see the bare metal and all the requisite pieces. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I've started the assembly process and painted the head. I can show you the unpainted and partially assembled model. Is that ok?

How's this? Let me know, I just got the Ice Storm Starter and there are a couple of models that should work in there.

I guess I'd better join in this one... so I kinda randomly picked something I had unpainted!

One Hac Tao missile launcher, now in rather outdated armour, so lets see what I can do... (please excuse the awful photo :S)

Image

If we do go for any WIP photos, best to just update the one post?

Looks good to me. Entry noted. Go ahead and make as many posts as you like! WIP photos are always welcome. If you want to only update one post, that's fine. If you want to just simply reply with the WIP, go ahead. You'll probably get more advice/critique/compliments if you make a new reply post, though.

Hopefully my meager efforts will stand up alright

Finally started on my ABH, as well. Decided to try Angel's method of highlighting via airbrush. Unfortunately the damn thing decided to sputter during that step, so right now I'm looking at this:

I'm doing an on-going How To over on my blog to keep me going with this. Comments and critique are always appreciated.

And btw, that Sun Tze head looks absolute ace!

Oh no!

Thank you guys for the compliments on Sun Tze's head. I'm having trouble coordinating his armor colors though. I didn't like the orange so I'm fighting for a new direction. :(

Sorry to hear about that splatter issue. I recently did the ABH, too, also using Angel's technique for NMM. I'll post some pictures of the things I've been working on later when I can take some more professional photos.

Might try greens or blues? Reds or Purples, maybe?

I should probably contribute some of my own work (though it's purely meant to be motivational for everyone else, since I probably shouldn't enter a contest that I am running!).

Looking good, dfleetw!

That is a rather nice shade of green. Looks a little thick on the left shoulder? Or is that a modification under the paint?

What's the intended color scheme? Green primary, black secondary, and...? What'll be your accent and tertiary?

What is that beautiful color?

It is VMA Dark Sea Blue (71.087) over a black under coat. The lighting of the photo is making it appear a bit lighter than in real life.
Sun Tee's head is looking good there by the way.

@kchau that is not what I was expecting when I read your initial comment on making a socket :D Looks like a pretty good start!

@kensa I am a novice with the airbrush so can't offer any advice to help, but man I feel your pain. That's gutting

@Claudius Sol I like the ABH's modded antenna, great idea.

Green primary, black secondary, white accent ... not sure about any additional colors yet. Will figure that out once I get to that point.

I think the thickness may be the primer.
