Digital theme feedback, bugs, etc (alternative theme)

by Mob of Blondes » July 17th, 2014, 11:21 pm

DS got a theme time ago, named Digital, before the one named corvus that matches front section (as of July 2014). You can activate it via User Control Panel / Board Preferences / Edit global settings / My board style.

Let's report issues with it here.
If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?

So lets start:

:arrow: Top header shows over compressed version.
Image

:arrow: Moved icon not in style with the rest.
This icon Image vs all the ones like Image.

:arrow: Top header is showing a default image over the real one, as some of us have noticed.

This started to happen today, 18 Jul 2014.

:arrow: Big images inside posts are not scaled to fit.

Again, new as of today.

Thanks for this feedback! :)

I've made some changes that should fix the majority of your issues.

Could you explain what you mean by the first one ("Top header shows over compressed version")?

He means that there are some slight compression artefacts in the header, mostly visible around the small text.

Ah yeah, thanks :) I've replaced the forum banner with the one from the blog so it should clear up now.

:arrow: Icons near subsections should be smaller, or better not be shown at all.

Recipe for the Stylish addon so the subforums look correct:
Code: Select all
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document url-prefix("http://www.data-sphere.net/forum/") {
  a.subforum {
    background-size: 1em 1em;
    padding-left: 1.25em !important;
  }
}

Thanks.

!important was to force the override via Stylish. It works with it in the forum css but probably not needed anymore.
