Okay, if that's true then it is on them. Do you think they understood that you meant to charge their current partners for forum space?

What I don't understand is the rage pointed at DS. As a company interested in promoting your business you don't just get forum space - you pay for it. That AW wields the "but we don't want to pay twice"-stick is understandable, but actually not the fault of the DS people. CB is to blame for handling the whole affair poorly, not DS.

P.S.: This whole thing starts to look more and more like kindergarten, for most parties involved...

there is so much misinformation in that post it is incredible!

Got to give Arachas credit, he is running a superb propaganda campaign. :words:

Still, cant change the facts that the competition is cancelled because of him, nor DS, not Aaron, just Hendrick, and that neither us nor Warsenal want anything to do with DataSphere ...also...and only... because of Arachas' attitude and approach.

There is no other factor involved.

With what I'm given I have to judge your words against his. His explaination is way more reasonable, so by applying Occams Razor I believe him over you.

What the hell? Seriously guys this is like being in the middle of nursery argument about hairbands. Can you all please try and exercise a modicum of professionalism and restraint. Why on earth are you back-and-forth tit-for-tat crying on a public forum? If you all want to be taken seriously then discuss this behind closed doors. This is supposed to be in relation to an adult business arrangement not who sits next to whom on the school bus.

Arachas should have frankly resisted the urge to comment or moderate this thread (or locked comments in the first place) as there is no way he can be objective on the issue. And if Jed is commenting in order to try and protect his, and his company's good name I'd say that hasn't really worked out too well.

This thread should be locked and replaced with a bare-bones sticky announcement of the facts.

I for one don't come on Datasphere or any forum to read this.

@Antenociti

OK, seriously man, you need to step away from all of this and take a breath. You're seeming less and less professional with every post you make, and it has gone way past the realm of public forums. It looks very petty.

It does to me. There's a big difference between ethics regarding business decisions and personal feuds. This is obviously the latter. I have no way of knowing what actually went on between you guys. I'm going to just assume you both handled it badly in private, just like you have in public.

This has turned rather sour rather quickly. Can a mod please remove all these posts and just leave it as the first post. Everything else is completely unnecessary.

I'd request it through the UI but am unsure where to do that in my current view.

Snatch?
Arachas?
Scorch?

I don't care what valid points have been made and what invalid points have been made. This is just unseemly and should be removed.

Thank you.

Yup, noted.

I'm going for a bath. ;)

Our social media, CBs social media and the other sponsored forums will be where we can be found in the future, as well as the monthly official releases from Corvus. And this competition will be continued in those, with an announcement via our facebook page later this month.

We wont drop anybody or any entries, they all still count but the decision making processes will (obviously) no longer have anything to do with datasphere.

I would like to thank Aaron (who is part of DS?) for his politeness and efforts in this competition though -it is appreciated and sorry that it got burned by others Aaron.

Jed, you have really handled this poorly. I know none of the behind the scenes stuff, only what i have read here and the official forums, and in your attempts to what i can kinda see as protecting your business interests, you have gone an awful long way to ruining what was a solid reputation.

You have some of the nicest products in the wargaming terrain market, but with the attitude and poor professionalism you have displayed, it would not he suprising to see people avoid purchasing your products because of all this. It all reminds me of a certain hissy fit on the official forums and in a podcast that im sure went a long way to damaging that persons reputation too...

Stating that both you and Warsenal arent happy proves nothing... There are at least what, 6-8 other manufacturers including one of CBs official partners Customeeple who are happy with whatever deal was struck for advertising space here.... Perhaps its less Arachas' "demands" and more your self-entitlememt that is the problem? Whatever the problem, you should have dealt with it privately.

I get your angry, but this was silly.

Indeed. I hope we're not using the same methods here as arre applied in the soon-to-die forum, where the thread is just closed - despite being the one thing where most traffic was happening.
Such behavior is NOT transperency and another poor move from CB.
I see all the work stress involved in GenCon and O:I - but they knew the schedule for those for a long time already, so that's no reason to handle everything else poorly.

I'm absolutely shocked by the way this went down.

I can keep stating there were never any ill intentions. But the last couple of days taught me exactly what surprize said:

Arachas should have frankly resisted the urge to comment or moderate this thread (or locked comments in the first place) as there is no way he can be objective on the issue.

I'm locking it right now and that'll be the end of it. If anyone wants to hear either version of events, reach our to your PM systems.
