Appeal: although nothing special the "real-world" look of the building gives it a more solid presence on the board... unlike other Mass Effect type buildings common to the official partners, this one looks more like the official artwork where Bao Troopers are bullying a sushi delivery guy and ninjas are jumping off of neon signs. The bonus is of course you can use it for 28mm moderns, zombies, role playing etc etc. 4/5
Assembly: there were a few problematic areas, most notably being the 45 degree connection for the core, which doesn't have a slotted tab like the other panels. I used masking tape to fix mine. I think it could be addressed by some sort of flap cut into the card. Otherwise, it's pretty much cut out and glue... minimal cutting involved. 4/5
Value for money: you don't really get much cheaper than this. Even scratchbuilding with foamcore is not that much cheaper. Plus, the time required for assembly is minimal and you don't have horrible Ork-ish terrain to stare at next to fine MDF buildings. Also, it doesn't suck up paint like a thirsty Shasvastii slurps up innards. 5/5
Utility: the clever little ladders, landing and L-shape of the building make for a very fine gameplay piece. There are a lot of tactical options on how to position your pieces with this. Much better than an MDF box. Plus it is very, very easy to store. I thought I'd lost one of the upper floors and discovered I'd packed it away inside, the way it's designed. Plus, you can stack the upper floors as pictured, making a mini skyscraper.
5/5Durability: As mentioned, the 45 degree bend is a weak point on this. It's not like LCC's shipping crates which you can literally drop kick across the room and balance your 40K rulebook pile on, but its lightness means it won't be damaged easily just by dropping it. 4/5
