Very inspiring models.
Amazing attention to details (for example the orange stripes on some PanO armours) and incredible resurrection of that toy drop ship. A matte finish and some tricks can really make the difference.

Fantastic work, love the camo on those last models.

How did you choose the style of camo and colour combo? Did you consider doing anything else? Digicam is quite popular as it looks futuristic. I've also seen some awesome hex cam.

Here is my progress on the next datasphere painting comp. chose a bloody tricky one with all this black. It's a paint trying to distinguish all the different bits.

My hexes has died a death and I'll probably finish it one day. But I got distracted painting this which I think is a pretty good excuse..... Not infinity but it's a damn good reason for not finishing the hexas for the painting comp. ImageImageImageImageImage

Nice look. Maybe glosscoat the faceplate with the hex pattern?

No, that was purposefully left matte to counter the high gloss armour. Also my TAGs have that in gloss so I wanted to change things a little at least.

Speaking of which.
I also got this little guy yesterday.

Small start on the seraph. I've discovered black really needs to be done with the brush rather that the ab mostly to be effective. ImageImage

Also finished the starter USAriadna set with gen con van zant.

Great use of the customeeple stencil for the LoF marking! That tabard also looks right full of contrast. Very nice!

Great style as usual.
Unfortunately, I don't like those new Ariadna figures (they remind me too closely of a game called "AT-43"), but it's not your fault... ;)

Hard to imagine a real stencil working so sharp at that size.

Also, excellent work on the Seraph red "tunic"... but it looks like the dark tones stayed a little satin...

I be jaunt stuck it to the legs and decided that it needs the cross on it like the box art. This should help distract from that michel. :)

Squee, beautiful as always Joel. I look forward to painting my Seraph in a similar style.

Your technique for black and those lifecolor black paints have added a lot of depth to my black shading, but the scale of this mini I think is going to need a bit more time & patience.

I will be going with something similar. I mercilessly copied your Santiagos/Joan/De Fersen theme in my own Father Knight Spitfire conversion so it makes sense to keep it consistent. Alternatively I'll just go with black and white so he matches my Hospitallers.

I went and got a load of morats and I was dying to do a tester. I'm loving the Yu Jing Orange but without the Yu Jing so I cracked a paint pot in a vanguard hacker. I want him on a jungle base to really step out of the comfort zone. ImageImageImage
