No talk about the new Mobile Brigadas?

by el_presidente » September 25th, 2015, 8:28 am

I'm surprised this topic hasn't been made yet!

Image

I love that they went in a very "Bubblegum crisis" direction with the female Brigadas. And the BG and HMG look bad-ass. I'm very impressed with this release!
Apparently we're getting new profiles too

The only issue I have is with the new Nomad HMG. But it is completely unrelated to the Brigada.

I guess I'll just keep using the old sculpt HMG, and perhaps field this one as a Combi.

I really like them, especially the hacker and her adorable pistol but why would I need 9 Brigadas?

..I still might end up getting them.

Is she checking her nails? Why does CB have such a tough time with the missile launchers? I can't think of one mini with a ML that looks halfway decent.

It's the female version of "ragefist" - "I'm checking my nails." - it was also seen on the female fusilier.

Yeah I don't mind the Alguacil and Fusilier MLs.

The tiny pistol on the hacker is the thing that bothers me the most really. An interventor can carry a rifle but an HI hacker must make do with a pistol?

The guys are okey, but the girls are so fragile and skinny, far more funny looking, than dangerous.
Totally opposite to the female Janissaire with Missile Launcher, she looks like a tough girl :)

Even though the game died on me in my area and I haven't been able to play since forever, the MBs really work great on their own, in my eyes. I might buy these just to have the pleasure of painting them and putting them on the shelves.

I think they look incredible, and seeing as they also have some more profiles to come including some specialist support, I'll almost certainly end up getting them and trying out a HI link in my Corregidor.

^this!
Getting this box makes me able to suddenly play Corregidor!

Regarding the difference between the female Janissary and the MB, I now believe that is a deliberate design choice. Aparently all nomads girls are scrawny and cute and haqq girls are badass :P

The hacker has odd pricing, 9 points above a normal combi rifle variant when normal hacking devices are usually 8 points. Maybe CB really does have some variable pricing on equipment depending on stats. In this case, he's got two wounds to help him survive brain blasts and sucker punches.

I thought 9 points increase was the norm? Who has an 8 pt upgrade?

Alguacil, Intruder, and Wildcat all pay only 8 pts and 0.5 SWC more for the Hacking Device compared to their normal Combi Rifle loadout.

I would have preferred bulkier females, but I don't dislike these either.

I suspect that a head swap for the open visor should be fairly easy...

I guess there are two female bodies, two separate heads and four arms. So you could assemble them in any ocnfiguration you like, including an open-visored Hacker with a brofist, and closed visored ML with a handgun in other hand.

With this box I'll have SEVEN brigadas.
In addition to the multiple TAGs I can also field ...

Corregidor is no longer the crooked smile, but the vertical one ...

Welp, color me yellow (not that it'd make much difference) and call me a banana.

With N3 came an adjustment of prices, which I forgot to keep complete tabs on, and a regular hacking device is costed at approximately 8 points. Assault hacking devices are costed at approximately 6 points. Downgrading a MULTI-rifle to a combi-rifle and getting a Hacking Device Plus costs only 4 points.

"The more you know..."

Well, eight here (once I get to the Brigada Box in my purchase schedule. They are somewhat behind a number of other things lined up). One Icestorm Brigada got his MultiRifle swapped for a shotgun yesterday, the other is waiting for a swap into Combi :) and the old Multi & HMG are there to stay.
