Taylor's Combined Forces of the Evolved Intelligence

After a long debate with myself, I decided to strip my Combined Models I purchased this summer and decided to go with a brighter (and more anime-themed) colour. This is what I have done so far - and I thought I'd get some feedback.





















Lemme know what you guys think - next up.. The Yaogats, Kurgat Engineer, Zerats, and finally.. my RAICHO!

Are you planning to do something with the bases or leave them plain black?

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I will definitely be basing them - those are just temporary bases. When i'm done the whole force, I pop all the models off those plain bases and put them on the finished bases.

The simple color scheme is very effective. You converted many of the Morats by adding swords didn't you?

The Sogarat with the sword is fantastic. I'm been wracking my brain on how to have two Sogarats that look different (my attempt at a Treitak as a Sogarat one handing a HMG just looks goofy and he's way smaller than a Sogarat). Time to rummage through my Grey Knights for a sword

I sure did. I actually had a ton of grey knight swords. I kinda scoured them around the community here because I was starting work on a cygnar army for warmachine, and I wanted to give my stormblades grey kight swords instead... but that was kinda put off when i got a really good offer on the cygnar I had from a friend... so I had a ton of these swords. I'm glad the scale for the falchions worked - because the big ones are pretty out of scale with the rest of the morats.

I'm also not a huge fan of the morat sword/axes for some reason - so I figured put them on the spec ops as well. The only big problem I ran into was the yaogat with the sword - he's really a lot smaller than the other morats for some reason... luckly i got my hands on a dark eldar sword that I'm gonna convert onto that guy.

These are the rest of my combined guys so far - you'll have to excuse the poor pictures. I'm not much of a photographer. I'll eventually be taking all new pictures of my guys when they're based - I have a friend who is a photographer who will do it.

The Shasvastii kind of reminded me of the elites from Halo - so I went with the same sort of colour scheme.

Very colorful. So you used the Grey Knight falcion heads? I see that's why they didn't look out of scale like the swords would.

Yeah, just the falchions... the longswords/greatswords are huge... though I am eventually going to get cordelia and scarface, and replace scarface's combat knife with a greatsword.
