With the better half away, I'm going to get started on my Imetron and Ikadron for my EI army. They count for the grunt challenge, right?

I'm getting there with my Morats, sorry haven't posted more WIPs.
Hacker is leading the way he just needs a bit of finishing and his base doing, will likely be the entry, but I am quite keen on how the HMG is shaping up....

(Sorry for the late response) YES! Those will both be acceptable entries.

@Surprize

That model seems to be coming along quite well. I think the gun comes out as the best so far. I'm not too big a fan, personally of the purple effects on there, but the face is rather nice!

There we go...

I'm not sure how much I'll get done since we're in the middle of moving house, but it's a good excuse to get some painting done in between the packing!

Looks good, Lampy! Best of luck! Time is running out fast! Though, you only need 1 model to be finished to enter, so I'd focus one at a time.

Consider yourself entered, Mistake Not.

Due to the paint on the other two, though, I'll only be accepting the Icestorm/Starter alguacile.

Finally got some time to get a Fusilier to the point where I can paint him. So here's my entry pic:

And I had better get my finger out painting it too. Less than a week now, right?
Although I found some awesome inspirational on these boards, namely in Maxvon_d's thread.

Congratulations, Errhile. Those Muyib (Why would something think Yasbir?) count as grunts and thus:

Entry noted :3

Finished them today in the morning, just before leaving for work. I hope I'll be able to take pics today, too.
(and managed to rebase a Kameel to a 55mm base in the meantime, yay :)).
Though I'm out of Grunts. Can't make an entry next month.

No worries about next season (not exactly next month as it starts in April) as the theme will not be "Grunts". It'll be something else that I am not allowed to disclose at this time. I'll let everyone know the theme when I post the voting post for this season.

OK here's a WIP image. Trying to paint this quick as i don't have much spare time.

This was the results of Saturday's efforts, going from the earlier bare metal pic.

(dodgy phone pic sorry)

Sunday saw a little more progress done, but not a huge amount, also no pic yet. I'll try and remember to take a pic before painting tonight if i get chance after the little one has gone to bed.

Errhile:

Thanks for the full 360 on those models! Gives a good look at every bit!
Yeah, if you could take another set with brighter lights (or adjust the settings on your camera to account for this), that would be great and give your entry much more oompf.

Submission noted!

splayedpaintbrush:

Very nice camouflage pattern! The skin tone looks pretty convincing there, too. Did you add a feather or something to the beret? If so, looks mighty convincing.

Having just painted that model last week, I can say that is quite impressive so far!

Thanks for the comments.

I cannot take credit for the camo as that is taken pretty much straight from Max Von D's thread. He has a step by step linked in the last post of page 1. (new to these forums so i may have missed it but how do you get the url for a specific post within a thread?)

In the UK at least, not sure about rest of world, all fusilier regiments have a hackle on their berets. Which is a short feather plume, the colour of which varies from regiment to regiment. I just thought I would add one as a little something extra to the model.

Managed a little more this evening, but forgot to take pic before starting as i said i was going to in my last post. Anyway next WIP.

Splayed, I didn't know that! Keep it going! It's a very nice touch and lends a TON of character to that beret.

Julipet, is that NMM or TMM? If it's NMM, that's damned convincing.

Yes it is NMM on weapons. I like true metal but i think it doesn't work so well with infinity (it is really nice on privater press minis). :)

WIP, base and weapon left. I have a bunch of Morat airbrushed as I posted earlier but since these are my first painted and I'm setting the color scheme. I felt I had to make a test model finished first before doing the rest.
