It also wouldn't work time-wise - a beta PDF would be going out at the same time as the print files would be going to the printer - there'd be no period for feedback to be incorporated.

Anyway, as Errhile says, CB don't do public beta testing.

That being said, their software should be able to create a Web version of the rules book when they create the press file.

Official Army builder will be the Errata for units, and will overrule the books. So yeah, sure. The PDFs could be Errata'd too.

Rage Fist tells me the sculptor couldn't think of anything better to do with the free hand.

Just now that we get the silhouette rules in print, we could be flooded by "look at my chest while I stomp a skull with my foot"! Please tell me this is not related to the complains about some miniatures being too dynamic like the Shaolin? Pendulum going all the other way is not nice (and a handful cartwheels were not going to kill anyone, just resculpt to new details with old pose). :ohdear:

Ademaru in the official forums says 60 euros for the two books pack. Most starters are 40, so do the maths.

Current books are 40, and before they were... :thoughtful: 36?

The point is the old LoS rules were about as solid as wet tissue paper. You would get issues where a slightly differently posed or angled mini could not be seen, whereas another one could. The same with moving - since you can face any direction whilst moving, what direction do you face when someone is shooting you? How big is a head? An old Ko Dali head or an Odalisque head? And many, many more besides.

For a dynamic game, a standardised silhouette is indeed the best solution.

Following your terms: now that we have non "wet tissue paper" rules (or so I hope), making poses non important, we could be getting static poses instead of keeping on with the dynamic ones for which Infinity was famous.

I am not complaining about the silhouettes, at all... but the boring poses, and the silly excuse used (if true). Show the chest? WTF? One step foward (rules), one step backwards (poses)?

The Infinity range has always veered back and forth between more and less static poses.

I'm not too concerned that we're only going to get static poses. ;)

Shaolin and Wulver are out.

Between more and less static poses... not between dynamic and static poses. You have been sepsitorized by new sculpt style. Subconscious gave you away. :v: ;)

We will see how things progress. Maybe it was the rage-fist season.

He probably means the old "roundhouse kick while standin' on me head" Shaolin and the "wall-jumper" Wulver.

Presumably, but those are two of the most widely disliked Infinity models of all time, after the Minutewoman. I'm not sure what they're supposed to be an argument for. :(

Yes, the wulver jumping into the traffic and the shaolin doing a handspring (but arms bent?) plus the companion doing a high kick. I always thought the complains were about LoF. Old shaolins would had benefit from new sculpting as well as fixing the arms of the female.

No, don't even own a Kusagagi, why? But now that you mention, maybe should get in the queue.

As said, I just hope the "show chests more" or "rage fist" are just a seasonal things.

There were complaints about LoF, but mostly about people disliking the poses - in some case vehemently. I've found that the leaping Wulver sells exceedingly poorly given how good it is in-game. :(

Reverend Kusanagi is a beautiful model, one of my all-time favourites BUT it's a nightmare to assemble. Only the Avatar was worse. The newer CB models are MUCH easier to assemble.

You mean, worse than the (in)famous BS Odalisque (old edition)?
