"original source lightning", or something. It's a painting technicue, where you simulate glowing effect by painting illumination on other parts of the figure.

Object Source Lighting. And seems to not only cover glows, also mist effects (glow of the dust in the air), film/lens bloom (glow in the camera) or direct lights (flashlights and torchs).

The one in these models would be of the mist type.
If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?
