Shirts

Has Corvus Belli ever made t-shirts available for sale to the general public? Seems like a natural. Faction specific or generic Infinity would be awesome.

To date, I don't think they've done anything like it.

I wouldn't be opposed to this. As long as it wasn't as gaudy (and in my opinion, a train-wreck) as the recent Privateer Press shirts.

I'd probably buy one. I feel no one would know what it is, so they won't know how big a geek I am;)

Yeah, something clean like a black t-shirt with a faction/sectorial logo, maybe individual unit logos even, nothing too flashy. That could be cool.

If they were cool and minimalistic then yes, as you could do a lot of cool stuff with the emblems.

Much like Designers Republics work on Wipeout 3.

If it was an illustration from the books just slapped on a tee ,then not so much.

CB send me the emblems and i'll make them ;)

Also, CB, please minimalist unit shirts! The ninja shirt would be too easy!

Re: Shirts

by Yasbir » July 30th, 2014, 9:23 pm

No, they didn´t, I only remember the infinityo12 podcast ones. And some for themselves in events. It´s one of that projects they had since years but never goes up because ...well, time , search for quality ...basically, it´s not on top of urgent things to do. I saw some designs but never see the light. As other ideas they have.
Think that they did their HQ sign just a week ago! (for more than 10 years there had just a black graffiti painted inthe wall, with the name and the logo ).
Maybe one day they will have a partner who can do good merchandising as the shirts.

I need those shirts too. Man I really miss both Wipeout and Designers Republic, both were very influential at the time. If a PS4 Wipeout came from nowhere I would jump and click my heels with glee.

But yes. Infinity tees. This has come up before, and CB has never commented, but i'd say it's a question of resources. I'm sure they agree Infinity tees are a superb idea.

I wasn't crazy about the style of the 0-12 tee. Just personal pref.

You can make your own. One of the Mods over at Dakka had one made with the Jotums logo. There are custom t-shirt printers here in the US. No idea about Europe. The Mod asked CB, and they said yes, as long as it was one for personal use only. Easy peasy, there are custom shirt printers in Europe too. Same with patch makers.
Just use the internet to find your local one.
They say there will be Heaven and the Fount of Kausar,
That there, there will be pure wine and honey and sugar
Fill up the wine cup and place it in my hand
(For) ready cash is better than a thousand credits.

It is, usually, harder to make a picture than to find someone who would print it on a shirt. Simply taking one from a book won't work :(

On the other hand, you can get pretty good results scanning in artwork, converting to vector graphics, and then printing at larger sizes. Especially if you're dealing with something like the faction logos.

We want Data Sphere tees, at least.

That actually sounds like a great idea
Does anyone know where to find some large versions to use for this?

I wonder what other art would be good for a shirt

Well for germany and surroundings you could use the printing service of the german distributor Ulisses.
They have a nice collection of Artworks, printable on nearly everything (you can even get a slip if you are a girl or into that stuff :P ) They are a bit on the pricey side but as far as I know the quality is good and it´s possible to combine, let´s say a faction logo with a nice artwork and a punchline:

I own a Posthuman shirt though it's too small.. getting another soon-ish.
The Gamers sells shirts, if you bring them an image file they can make you all the shirts you want.
And yes, they do sell faction shirts. :D

Nah, i'm not sold on the Nomad armor. It could look like a kid trying to be a super hero or something. ;) (Sorry Lampy  )

The minimalist approach is best with faction logos as a basis, or something very stripped back if it's an image. I love this Mirrors Edge art...
