Part of Ken from Fantasy Flights problems with product is the method he is using to etch the detail into his panels.

He is using Raster laser etching as opposed to Vector laser etching the following video will show you the difference. This plus the sheer amount of detail he puts onto each piece means it takes a very very long time to cut them.

The reason I bring this up is the former leaves a much more distinct grainy look where it was used and ALL of his panels have it and to such a great extent that you can easily backwash into these areas and then simply highlight or dry brush the raised areas to bring the original colour back up.

Step by step.

1.0 - Lay a panel flat liberally apply some dark wash to the laser etched areas let that dry. then simply with apply a light coat of the original or a very similar colour as a edge highlight over the raised portions of the panel.

1.1 - Optional - Give it a light spray with a spray varnish cheap is fine.

1.2 - Dry brush or roll your original colour lightly over the raised areas where any wash may have gathered and you don't want it to show.

1.3 - Dry brush with a slightly lighter colour than the original colour to create a edge highlight.

DONE!

Nice work Vis. Might have missed it but did you ever work out a good way to magnetise them all? Sounds like magnets would be a time consuming pain.

Or it go ok without them anyway?

So, I've got assembly done on almost all of my BHC sections.
I'll try to do a thread showing off my stuff soon, but here's a quick shot of the Tub O'Corridors.
I managed to fit everything from my set into one tub, minus the crates and load lifters which should fit also.

I keep my terrain in tubs like that. I can generally do a 4x4 infinity table with one of them (and I have 8).
They're great for transport, stackable and fit into cars easily.

Mine are 55l tubs though.
