Nope. Canada.
We have Michaels here, but I haven't been impressed with their selection or their prices.
I might check Staples again though.

Travel to the west a "bit" to watch them live then. And even buy the material from the same source. :3:
If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?

Just checked Google maps. The closest Hobby Lobby is in Bangor, ME, which is about 4.5 hours drive from where I live.
Interestingly, my in-laws live at about the half way mark, so just might find myself in that general area sometime.
I wonder if there are any decent game stores in the area as well... obviously, I'd have to go for more than a little card stock to make it worth it....

Well, you'd definitely need:
- a silo (for fertilizer, or grain storage),
- some greenhouses
- maybe animal pens (if the center deals with animal production too)
- warehouses / storage sheds
- vehicle maintenance workshop
- office / laboratory building

Unless the center is linked to an urban center, you should also keep in mind personnel quarters, power source (my bets are on wind-powered generator, besides, a windimill of sorts is a classic), and water reservoir (at least for firefighting applications).

Fuel dump.
My grandfather's farm was a collection of buildings all arranged around a large circular dirt drive, and right in the middle was a set of fuel tanks where tractors and such could gas up and keep right on going after a minor stop in the center of the yard.

How futuristic of an agricultural endeavor is this? Hydroponics? Manual/Automated pollination? Crops? Processing? Genetic modification of crops or livestock?

I really like the greenhouse idea. Way back, I thing it was on french-waagh.com , I have seen some terrain consisting of row after row of plants with water pipes and and everything you need for a monoculture. Maybe a glass roof?

My experience with the ad-stand says you could make a cardboard frame, then use acetate sheets (ones meant for overhead projectors) as glass.
Naturally, PVA glue (or similar non-agressive adhesive) will be needed to be used, and you'd have lots of work with painter's tape to spraypaint it, but it seems doable.

Awesome stuff! Can't believe i've missed this! :O

I really like how every building has its own colour. It brings out the table, making it more than 50 shades of grey (huhuhuhuhuhu). And well.. you're work, as always, STUNNING!

I love this latest concept. It's a very cool way to throw some green (and Aquatic terrain!) into a tech-heavy table!

That's is awesome! That bridge design is great!

The building almost gives a round feeling to it, despite being an octagon. Very cool.

Perhaps you could advise me...?

What thickness of cardboard do you use (and find it adequately sturdy)?
Also, how you do manage to cut it right and true?

I use 4mm cardboard, and invariably, the cuts end sloped a bit :( Not something to bother me on the table at arm's lenght, but I'd prefer to have it done better...

I use 1/8" (4mm) cardboard.

Cutting is tricky. You must use a steel ruler as guide and make sure your hand is straight.
I do 3 or 4 passes to cut through.
My cuts are always slightly slopped.

100% non-slopped cuts are possible only on a cutting table with a fixed blade that slides along a rod.

My Bagh-Mari love that last pieceof terrain ;) Moi, aussi.

Now I know what it is about that river, or, that starry, starry river. It should be darker in the middle (deeper) and lighter at the edges.
