It has amusing and painful consequences. It's quite hilarious to see a deadly trooper coming for the kill to scale a wall and break their ankle on the other side.

To be honest, and this might be a controversial view, I'm not convinced a lot of people are playing Paradiso and even those that are I think might flake out and not get to the train mission. I wonder if commercially it would make sense to design a cool looking monorail (as you seem to be) that people can use in any game, rather than a massive square, implausible train for Paradiso that looks horrible and is only needed for one mission that you might never play!

I think he has a valid point here.

Thank you everyone for commenting on this and you especially surprize for raising this. You have put into words what we were feeling better than we could have and have confirmed that we are on the right track. We're aiming to make a cool piece of terrain that can be used if you want it to with the campaign but if not, will still look good on the table.
The main reason we are playing with a monorail system rather than maglev is actually for game utility... if it is a monorail then the train can be "out of the way" above the table top and models can move underneath it.
Having said that, someone on another forum suggested that we make the monorail support stands detachable so that the train can run on the ground too, which we will look into if and when we get that far.
Thanks again for all your feedback... we really appreciate it
