Making favela-themed tables

Yeah, a Favela table would be fab - but difficult to do in a suitably grubby manner and make it modular too I feel.

Grubby you can do. Wash it, wash all the things and then wash it again.

Your right about the modular part though ramshackle buildings built against and often inside each other don't make for great modular/multi-purpose terrain.
What I do: Chef by trade, arsehole by choice and I play and TO for Infinity when I'm not being either.

But they do. You just make each piece of terrain into a clump of several shacks instead of a single one. Designing them so that they arrange into playable and interesting combination is another thing.

IIRC, Inkybrushes & co. did an awesome favela table on the official forum. KedzioR posted some great dilapidated shanty shacks/garages too.

I liked Deflater Mouse his black modular table as well, can't find the link right now though...

Nah, I just ran a search for favela/shanty in Arcologies and removed the useless/irrelevant ones.
