JSA Motorcycles

by wdlanghans » February 16th, 2015, 3:22 am

Hey Guys a few questions for you to ponder.

1/ When you deploy a motorcycle can you deploy it with the rider dismounted?

2/ If yes what about JSA where all the bikes are impetuous? My thought here is that impetuous models HAVE to move towards the enemy via a route with that uses the least number of orders. So since the bike can move further than the rider can on foot (assuming that there isn't terrain that the bike can't go though and / or would force the rider to dismount anyway) would that force the the model to get back on the bike and use it anyway?

Thoughts?

1. I see no reason as to why not.

2. Well, if it's for me, they can run all the way. It is, after all, you who is forgoing their advantage of mobility... and remember, it is the Impetous Order that forces them to move towards the enemy.

Also remember that they're normal impetuous, so they can always forgo to use the impetuous order and just act normally during the normal turn.

I don't think there's any particular rule about deploying a biker mounted or dismounted.

I don't see the rider being forced to get back on the motorcycle, should he want to use his impetuous order.

No real rules to back that up, but I don't recall seeing anything regarding those points.

I should think this also applies to piloted TAGs - not that it really gives them any kind of advantage.
