Awesome new write up about the terrain rules! I'm poundering to implement them for some time now, and moving to a new area soon is going to give me the option for a new Infinity group, I may use this as an example to promote it! thanks a bunch!

I really appreciate all the feedback. It seems to me that with the massive focus on 3rd edition, that there is still quite a lot of life left in 2nd edition.

You're definitely taking the roads less traveled. I like it! :) Makes my hand itch to start introducing Infinity to more people.

Just one note: volume levels in the video are a bit off.. your voice sounds 'far away' and echoey, but then the music trashes my ears because I've turned the volume up to listen. Other than that, I really like what you're doing here!

I'll be more careful with the audio. I just purchased new hardware for audio capture for my voice, and I did put the music audio at 20% original volume, but I also noticed that there were issues. Thank you for the feedback.

Really digging this series; especially the focus on using Difficult Terrain and more Civvie/Hostage Rescue operations.

I'm getting more and more excited about this series! :toot: I've been an advocate of the support REMs for a long time now (both EVO and Minesweeper) and I think it's awesome that you've taken the time to promote these units. They are cheap, great support and both the Minesweeper and the EVO bring so much more anti-mine and hack-tactics to the table it is a shame they don't see that much love.

I have to say that I REALLY enjoy writing these articles because it brings to light some awesome stuff that I don't always see. I've taken EVO Repeaters before, but I've never used a Minesweeper. Why not? Even if it's just there to provide another regular order at a bit of a discount?

Than don't forget the trickery that an EVO can bring to the table; TAG possession made much easier, Icebreaker, combined order hacking, guiding AD troops making them less likely to scatter. Jamming FO marks. And of course extra repeater area. For only 13 points.

How come our article headlines have started overlapping so much? That's just weird...

Not sure, but I've had 2 previous articles on Mines and the Remotes that remove them, before this week. So I'm calling dibs.

How much traffic do you guys get with the articles over there?

Thought BoLS was just articles about how reasonably priced the new GW releases are, and advice for building a fluffy Craftworld Eldar/Slaanesh combination spam list? :D

Pacific - my articles have received between 2000 and 13,000 views. Most articles fall around 4,000 views.

I have to give credit though, there have been 4 or 5 Infinity writers and a lot of it started because of Levitas petitioning BoLS for more Infinity content.

Ha ha, very true. I write for them occasionally and so can see the traffic. Honestly, Infinity and other games like X-Wing are getting more traffic. DIRT being a regular thing is definitely good and exposing the game to those who dwell in the grim dark.

You can see BoLs is trying to expand it's brand and business by welcoming more games to its tent. But still knows GW/40k will get the most hits, and so posts too many paper thin 'artcicles' that dimish those other writers that actaully make an effort. For every twenty empty GW 'news' posts you get cool stuff like DiRT and my own bat reps. It's trying to change but still can't kick it's bad GW crack habit.

Doremicom, maybe consider asking for two posts per week. Base one on news, and the other on hobby/tactics ? I'm sure Larry would let you :)

It's good that Infinity is getting more coverage on the larger sites.

But should you want to write on Data Sphere, Levitas, just let me know. ;)

Levitas, I would love to do more than 1 article a week, but aside from rare instances like this week, I don't think I'd have the time to do it justice (because I don't want to do shallow articles).

I mainly just throw bat reps there now to be honest, and only did a few basic 'getting started' articles. But I can certainly post any new bat reps on DS too. Next one is waiting for 3rd ed, so few months.
