Something I noticed in today's BoW video: the Mobile Brigada will be used as a template or basis for future Nomad HI. So I guess we can expect new Nomad HI sometime soon. I've always liked that the Nomads had limited HI. I thought it suited their background and playstyle, but I guess we'll see what CB has in mind.

I can't look at that Alguacil concept art without hearing the Captain Scarlet theme in my head... which is a shame, as I think Thunderbirds had better music.

Maybe Tunguska is getting a HI? They're supposed to be the most teched-up Nomads. Of course, they're more filthy dirty tricks and cyberwarfare, so... I dunno. Light HI who are Repeaters? Throw smoke? HI with markers?

If it's anyone it's probably Tunguska. I figure each sectorial ought to have access to at least one HI. Maybe a TO HI? That'd be bananas.

Isn't the Kriza Borak (something like that) the Tunguska HI?

Google Kriza Boracs and everything that comes up is talking about Nomads so I'm guessing I read it in a Nomad sectorial thread somewhere. I think it's gonna be the Tunguska HI, and it might have been in one of the little comics in the V2 rulebook maybe? I don't have it to check. This is all from my admittedly not great memory.

After posting, I Googled. I found a lot of references to Nomads and Tunguska, but nothing clear. It does seem like there's a reference somewhere to something. So maybe you're right?

He is right. The unit is in even in the first rulebook. We don't know much about it though, other than it being the Tunguska HI, and it might having some kind of visor.

And yeah, I wouldn't expect to much Nomad HI. I think this was a bad example of Bostria, in other Nations this process will be much more relevant than with HI and Nomads. I actually had to laugh a little, when he said for all the nomad HI. Like the Riot Grrl!

Woo! Are there any pictures or anything of them?

And yeah with them, each Nomad sectorial will only have 1 HI each right? Mobile Brigada, Riot Grrls and Kriza Boracs?

I wouldn't bet one each having just one, they can do what they want/see feet, but it will never be like Pan-O or YJ.

In the picture they look like sleeker Mobile Brigadas, but since they changed them so completely, they could look like anything now. Maybe sleek new Brigadas is a possibility, since the new MB is rather beefy.

It's the same design, but scaled down. That can go either way, depending on your perspective.

I think i'm going to leave off the antlers on my Moibile Brigada, only thing I dont like about the mini. I'll say they retract, and avoid any embarrassing incidents with low hanging Paradiso trees.

Guessing Tunguska will get a HI, but as said before you don't really play Nomads for HI.

What bothers me is that out of all of those 3 model troop groups you listed, they're all 2 men, 1 woman. I'd really like to see more women in general. Sexy poses, shooting poses, running poses, crouching poses, standing poses. Whatever. Lets see some 2 women, 1 man line troop groups.

The "bias" towards male miniatures is actually an interesting point. While we've had a couple of evenly split four-model boxes recently (Bolts, Ghazi), there's definitely been a leaning towards all-male boxes if they're a) not just doing a repack or b) having their hand tipped by the fluff (see Moiras, Grrls and Odalisques).

This is an intriguing choice in the wake of things like the Wulver Girl movement and the girl models generally seeming to disappear off ChoKonnit's split box list quicker than the guys.

Certainly, I know my Infinity collection has a female leaning to it (although many battle heels have had to be removed along the way) - I wasn't far off deliberately trying to run an all-girl list in a recent 400pt campaign tourney.

Now what is interesting is that all the previous Nomad starters (vanilla and sectorial) have had an even balance between male and female. This is the first Nomad starter that will break that pattern with only 1 female.

I also noticed that both the new starters only have one female. Excellence of the sculpts notwithstanding, I would've really liked to see 2 or 3 females in each.

But I also don't play either faction, so maybe my opinion doesn't count. :P

That's my big disapointment (and probably only. it is a really nice set) with the set. There's already two female Nisse and two female Orcs, but a female Akal or a 2nd female Fusilier would have been great.

Haramaki box is also 50:50 male/female... though several years old at this point, haha. It doesn't feel like that long.

I really don't get all the fuss over what, how or why CB makes females miniatures.

I feel like if you're really that interested in promoting equality amongst the sexes your efforts and energy could be better spent then on a message board for a miniature game.

So do we have any details on the breaker pistol? Or did I miss that part of the thread already? Secondly, I keep hearing thr grenzer has 2 pistols. Is that 2 on mini, 2 in profile, or both? Just curious if CB is making more double weapon models with the tohaa preview we just saw
