I wasn't liking the look of this box, but watching the BoW vid makes me seriously consider getting it, despite having loads of nomads and a table full of scenery.
The card buildings which take boxes for extra durability is genius and they should patent it!
The new minis are great and I am surprised as I have not like the recent sculpting direction (except for CA)
Shame on the template change, they could have warned their tied in suppliers so that stocks ran out to avoid people buying just before the change.
Not sure if it is just mistranslation, but HI going to 4-4 is a bit of a shock, I'll wait and see if that is true. Otherwise all the old books are out of date for army information I thought that v3 was only rules tweaks, not stat changes as well?

Whats this about box buildings? I can't stand BoW so don't wanna watch the video.

Also dat Mobile Briganda. I'm so glad QK can take most of this nomad stuff because I do not need yet another army right now!

Anyone know what that ruler shaped template thing is for?

They've for these light cardboard buildings. The heavy unit boxes can slide into them to make them stronger.

Looks like it's just a small ruler, so the box really is EVERYTHING you need to play.

I'm pretty sure it was said that many profiles would be changed. I think what you're thinking of is in the N3 announcement Carlos said that Human Sphere and Paradiso would be usable with the new rules. I'm starting to think that he was just referring to the new rules introduced in those books - things like link teams and so on. I wouldn't be surprised at all if almost all of the unit profiles were changed in some way or another - whether actual stat or skill changes, like the 4-4 MOV on the HI, or just point cost adjustments.

So why don't we have a scanned rule book from someone who bought the box at the tourney today? :)

Oh and the new Terracottas look just as awesome as the Brigada... possibly with a better pose if you ask me. I like poses where people are in the middle of shooting...

By the way, for UK players I'll be taking pre-orders ASAP.

Paper craft buildings that have the same size than all the boxes sold so far, so you put boxes inside the skin and the brown cardboard keeps the building up, even if you place a heavy TAG in the roof. Similar to Dropzone Commander ones, and the structures some companies sell or people make to give them weight and strength.

Imagine one that is the typical Infinity box plus a cornice to match.

Orc and MB getting move 4-4 could be to make them attractive since they have no "tricks" compared to the other HIs in their faction.
Higher mobility could make them more interesting since they aren't blessed with TO, MSV or servant bots.

The Summer Challenge seminar has already confirmed that it makes them irregular and you automatically get a new Lt at the end of the turn, no orders spent. No speculation is needed.

Was it stated that all HI are moving to 4-4 move? Icestorm lists The Orc, Father-Knight and Mobile Brigada as 4-4, but that may just be changes to those units, and not blanket changes to HI. Interestingly, the reverend Healer is listed as an HI as well. I'm guessing this is a typo though.

Nah, if she's based on the Moira's this isn't a typo. All this means is she'll be more like the Moira's than the custodiers even though she has the ability to link with both.

Nope. Even though they're not being replaced by the new N3 book (else the plot progression between books would be very hard to follow), they're assuredly getting a metric tonne of errata.

BTS values are all becoming positive, and all unit profiles need to include a silhouette size now. Basically, every last unit profile needs an update.

Yup... I guess we'll get most of it in the form of downloadable errata / update - putting that in the book woyld mean several pages of extra infromation on units (even factions - see Aleph and Tohaa) that aren't covered in the previous editions of the basic rulebook.

Once pleasant bit of data that's confirmed in in O:I, besides changes to heavy infantry movement speed, is that MULTI Rifle loadouts appear to be getting a significant point cost decrease.

Hopefully, the official armybuilder will be updated as soon as they release N3. That will make the transition much smoother. It would also be the perfect opportunity to release a completely new version that's more like Mayanet. :)

Maybe kind of? The Mobile Brigada drops from 43 points to 39, but the Orc stays at 40. So one of them got a price decrease, but it's not clear if that was due to the Multi Rifle. It could be that the units got a price increase to account for teh better MOV, and than a price decrease for the Multi Rifle. or it could be that the MOV buff doesn't come with a point cost, With Multi Sniper rifles now costing 7 less points it wouldn't surprise me to see Multi Rifles also get cheaper, but It's really hard to tell what's going on just based on O:I.

It is weird to me that the Mobile Brigada got a price decrease but the Orc didn't. The Orc has +1 BS, but the MB has +1 WIL, V:Bravery and a LFT. I wouldn't expect it to end up cheaper.

Maybe BS superiority has been repriced appropriately, at least compared to other stats?

Could be, but I really hope they adjusted either how AP ammo works or reduced the cost of it.

Though I wouldn't mind getting Shock ammo back in the light multis! Or maybe even choose-your-ammo options.

Unfortunately the QSR won't shed any light as to that. The only two weapons in there are the combi rifle and sniper, as ammo types are a whole other affair. I seriously doubt the Father-Knight has an HMG.

Did I miss someone posting the full stats from O:I? I agree that the Brigada has enough extra goodies that I would not expect it to be cheaper.

Superior BS, yes, but inferior WIP (Fusilier's 12 vs Algulacile's 13). I always though it to be point-by-point trade.
