Well August is O:I, September is Fusilier SWC box, it could well be that October or November is Alguiciles SWC box.

You know how whiney the Hyper Power is if it doesn't get its new shiny toys. Just say Uhlans or Toni and watch them come out of the woodwork to cry.

Well :P I am whining about my missing Alguaciles, but I wouldn't mind a Squalo or Uhlan to go with that on the side. :pano: :nomad: :toot: Partyzeit!

I agree that the lack of Yu Jing in September is pretty lame. Does not bode well for us getting a Zu Yong box any time soon. They've already given us the stats weeks later than the Bolts. Kind of ridiculous how much some factions have been getting while Yu Jing has pretty much gotten crap in comparison this year. Haven't had a real box released since the Bao and that was over a year ago. Everything's either been JSA or a rehash of something... No one loves Yu Jing :(.

I also thought that the Warcor was an exclusive model for, well, the Warcors. Is the exclusive Warcor version going to be the one with Magno's actual face?

Corvus Belli, the crow of death, feasts on suffering and misery.
Yu Jing sustains CB. The anguish caused by JSA releases and other intentional dickery feeds the glorious beast.

Soon, YJ will not be enough, and Ariadna will be nuked out of the setting, just after USAriadna is released.
The sweet tears of pain and rage will make CB more powerful than ever before, and it shall reign supreme.

All hail our overlords and masters, for we are but meat to feed the grinder. All shall suffer, all shall know true agony.

:D

Oh and the Dactyls look great, they'll go well with my Sophotects. :)

I think "favor" is the wrong word. It's more like poorly planned/executed content releases. Not giving someone something to buy for their faction for almost two years is just not a good way to retain your players.

Guges, now you're starting it over again.

In the last 24 months there were 15 Yu Jing releases (according to Pierzasty's Infinity Release Schedule). So if none of them is something you would like to buy, doesn't mean other YJ players think the same.
This is a pretty classical pars pro toto, buddy. You are taking a very sepcific example and treat it as if it were representative for the whole.

And it eally isn't.

Even if you consider your "faction" to be ISS, they have had several releases over the last two years. Granted, one was a repack (Celestial Guard box), but since August 2012, there have been Wu Ming box, CG Hacker, Bao box, Pheasant Sniper, and BS Sun Tze. Maybe none of those were to your personal liking, but it is disingenuous to claim that there were no releases for the faction.

On a more personal note, I'm looking forward to Kornak. Once I have a model for him, I can do the second conversion stage on my current Kornak/Kurgat Mk12 flex-proxy to be a completely Kurgat model.

No no, CB hates Nomads more than YJ. I mean, when are we going to see a HMG Intruder?! Why must we still suffer the obscene roundness of the bowling ball head version.

They insult us with these sexy icetsorm miniatures and Interventors with speedy panda pals. It's clear, the Nomad hatred is there for all to see. We want the HMG Intruder and they are deliberately withholding it. I bet they have boxes off them sitting in a ware house some where with smily stickers on them.

But seriously. I don't think CB has any bias at all with releases, and I like the way they spread the love across the factions. It feels fair and much better than GWs approach. Ok, so you may not get the exact unit you have been waiting for this month, but you know it will come sooner rather than later.

CB doesn't heat Nomads, they give them useful shit all the time, like flamethrowers. Yu Jing just gets +2 to CC. :P

Or look at the Raiden! That unit is a complete choke, if you compare it to a Tank Hunter, or Intruder.

And than there is the Ninja, looks better than a Croc man but is arguable the worst TO Infiltrator in the game!!! And we got 3 different ones!!!

What more proof do you want?

Wu Ming box: No real usefulness in competitive play. Most people aren't going to be able to play four Wu Mings and remain competitive. Models also have serious aesthetic problems matching the existing Wu Ming.
CG Hacker: Good Release.
Bao box: Debatably useful some people like them some don't.
Pheasant Sniper: worthless
Sun Tze: Worthless, maybe some people would field it.

So in the last 24 months there have been two releases that are realistically fieldable in ITS. This is not a good way to get people to buy models.

Would like to reiterate that I don't think CB has some prejudice against Yu Jing but this is a weak release schdule.

Rumour has it CB is changing some weapon load-outs in profiles for N3: the HMG Intruder is being named. It could end up with a Spitfire, instead of its HMG. Hence no model yet.

Which makes sense, considering the guys at CB, too, know this is the most-played layout.

Pars pro toto again, Guges. Why do you take "competitivness" and "ITS" as only quantifiers for miniatures?

In my meta, for example, tournament competitiveness is completely irrelevant: none of us plays in any tournaments. ITS missions are rarely used - I think I played less than a dozen of them in 2014 season so far. And I'm probably the guy with most experience in the ITS missions in the local meta...

Because in most metas, ITS play dominates play styles. Even if it doesn't, why can't I think releases are lame because they're useless in ITS? Perfectly valid criteria for judging a release.

A quick question from someone who doesn't even get all the abbreviations you use:
When will there be more Tohaa units? I'm chehcking the site and I know it's a new faction and all, but they seem to lack way more units than others. I just started the game but am still interested in what will come next and when :)

They are a newer faction, so they haven't been on the release schedule as long. They just had a new model released, and some new stuff previewed on the way too. :)

Tohaa get a new über unit next month. They get something most month and don't skip that often as the other factions. They are the newest faction, so the just have fewer stuff all together.

No, Magno's face is much more glorious to behold in person. It's grandeur cannot possibly be sculpted into a model.

But, CB tried anyways. Gotta give them some credit.

(Yes. The limited edition one is very much the likeness of Magno's actual face. He even wears that hat sometimes, too)

Hero of Man wrote:Oh god, that Dactyl Girl... between her and the Govad, I don't know who I love more. I hope the sculpts live up to the concept art.

Easy answer, you love the Dactyl girl because I am all about that Govad and we shouldn't be fighting over virtual women.

Arachas wrote:Guges, do you really believe CB favors some factions over others? Come on... they love YJ as much as you do.

Most (all?) Nomads characters are characters the founders of CB played in their home RPG, so yes there is a chance they favor Nomads. Does not mean that they don't try and make a balanced game but it is a bias that one could attribute to the company.

Guges wrote:Yeah but that's what I'm annoyed about. JSA has gotten great stuff and ISS hasn't.

Guges said this in relation to the Raiden, a JSA unit that lacks Courage, is the only 4-2 Mov in the army and is a stand back and snipe profile in an army of we will punch you in the face. The JSA players are split but those that don't like the Raiden, really don't like the Raiden. Even when it wins them a game, like single handedly, they still hate it and complain about having to make Guts rolls because they play JSA to not make those.

So Raiden for JSA is like Bao for ISS a unit that has fans and detractors. Now Asuka, Asuka is made out of 100% awesomesauce.
