OK, what's the news that has killed the official forums?

It did not last long this time. Maybe it was because people pointed it was a rather poor uptime, just when N5 release is in the horizon. 
They really need to reevaluate how and why they host in (or at least behind proxies in) AWS servers (forum.corvusbelli.com points to three IPs with names ec2-52-51-236-31.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com, ec2-63-32-141-36.eu-west-1 and ec2-34-253-72-79.eu-west-1, so same zone and thus poor redundancy, if any). They must be paying more than other solutions, but not getting much out of it.

It seems they fixed it yesterday, Thursday 12th, around lunch time, based in existing posts.

That server responds now, but assets.infinitythegame.net does not. It seems they have a little mess when it comes to hosting "assets".

Forum is up, but profile.corvusbelli.com gives "server not found" (there is no associated IP) as of Sunday 7th. And IIRC and unless it has changed, the forum expired sessions very aggresively (a few hours at best, maybe just 30 minutes... it was crazy). Tried login in shop which said I am logged in... but forum does not notice.
Based in "new posts" page, it must have started Saturday early morning or maybe even Friday evening, as it shows 8 posts on Friday and only 2 on Saturday (02:03 and 02:18 CEST).
