I recently purchased the PDF of «Flasing Steel» a Pirate / Musketeer adaptation of the Song of Heroes and Blades system by Ganesha Games.

The system is not linked to a miniature manufacturer. We used our FreeBooter's Fate and Helldorado models for a trial game.
The thing I like about this system is that there are no factions. It up to the player to create the profil for each model using a point system for attributes, skills and equipment. That is very liberating. I quite enjoyed creating my pirate profiles based on the look of the actual miniature I was going to play.
Fortunately they have an online warband builder interface which cuts down on the list creation time.

The system is easy to understand. After trying out Frostgrave and SAGA, the SoHB system is more to my liking. Also, there are several adaptations of the original system into other genres (sci-fi, fantasy, horror, etc)
