Boarding Shotgun Foxtrot - what model to use?

by H1ghlander » November 10th, 2014, 7:05 pm

Hey all,

With the N3 changes to the boarding shotgun, I know I want an infiltrator armed with one in my list. Of the options available - Foxtrot, SAS/Uxia, and Scouts - I chose the Foxtrot as it is the most points efficient (also cheapest), and comes with mines to boot. However, there is no Foxtrot with Boarding Shotgun model, so I would have to convert one, or use a substitute model.

Doing a weapon swap on a model is relatively straight forward, but I'm not keen on using either of the current Foxtrot models for such a conversion. I thought about getting the Uxia model, and using it as a 'counts as' (beautiful mini). Another thought I had would be to use a Hasslefree Mini. The American aesthetic absolutely fits the bill for a Foxtrot.

Any model suggestions/conversion tips?

Thanks,

My suggestion: use whatever model you like to proxy it for now.
Wait a month or so for your copy of N3 to see if the Foxtrot Shotgun is still there.

As for conversions - I'd suggest the Light GL Foxtrot. Looks like it would be simple enough to cut off the light GL and replace it with another firearm (provided you have a spare shotgun). The Wargames Factory Apocalypse Survivors sets seem like neat source of bits, though of course you'd be getting a wholesale supply... Other than that, Hasslefree sells small batchess of their firearms, too.

i have just recently bought hasslefree's "woody", conveniantly with a hat and a shotgun - also, he's just in scale with infinity and looks fantastic.
