Hello there,
I'm a new Merovingia player and I've bought recently a starter box. Now I want do buy some more models to play on tournament on July.
What do you advice to buy? What is "must have" in competitive Merovingian army?
I've read that Chasseurs minelayers are necessary. Also Jaques Bruant and 112 are good ideas. What more is worth consideration?

I LOVE running Margot and Duroc. They're almost always taken. Partly because I just enjoy their story, partly because they're awesome.
Additionally, the Loup-Garou are similarly fantastic.
The 112 is where you'll get a doctor, so not a bad choice.
Bruant works well with the Metros and can be a fine addition to their fireteam.

First off, the MRRF needs an update. Until then, using it will be an uphill struggle.
I played MRRF either with a cheap fireteam consisting of Metros - you need to get the HMG Metro and another one (Bruant is an expensive option) for that - or with the Briscards. The Briscards are very good, but expensive. Always recommendable is the rocket launcher Briscard. Very cheap and effective for his weapon choice.
You need to get as many chasseurs as possible. They are the true core of your sectorial. Probably the most effective specialists.
Zouave HMG sapper is pretty good. Metro HMG is a very solid Lieutenant with a low SWC cost. It is really hard to cram in all the heavy weapons and mines you need within the confines of SWC points.
Paracommandos are another good way of deploying specialists. I also liked to get the HMG para in to kill my opponents from the side.
I think Bruant is not allowed to be in camo mode and linked at the same time according to HS. Check this before you invest in the model.

He is NOT if its not clearly written yet it will be in the updated WIKI shortly.
What I do: Chef by trade, arsehole by choice and I play and TO for Infinity when I'm not being either.
