Preferred List Builder

by Oreet » January 27th, 2015, 8:04 pm

So I haven't played Infinity in months, and I'm going to give the new version a shot soon. What list builder do you prefer to use when accessing the new troop profiles?

Hmm.. That's a tricky situation right now. Mayacast, so far, is working well in a beta build but isn't released for public use right now. I'd just wait for until then if you have an iPad. Otherwise, the anyplace app that is a web app is slowly being updated little by little.

Pencil and paper, tbh.

Most of the time, where I play, there's SFA in the way of wifi or net access via cell, so I'd be stuck with a non-device method anyway.

And it's not like the basic grade school levels of arithmetic required are really that hard.

I don't have new book yet, and unsure if I'm getting it. When I used to play I could print out nice, easily read army lists.

They are coming! Army 5 is in development. ;)

Right now people use Pen&Paper, Excel sheets. MayaNet is in N3 beta, getting debugged, and I'm not sure how Aleph Toolbox is fairing right now..

Profiles can be downloaded, so no need for a book to play the game.

Aleph is also in development. http://anyplace.it/ia3/ia.html
If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?

The Aleph Toolbox is promising for N3 (I've downloaded and am using it), but it doesn't seem to allow modifying the roster size yet, and, unlike Infinity Army (for which we're still awaiting the N3 update), it won't print a weapon listing with your roster.

It doesn't allow for combat group management either.

As for weapon ranges (and hacking programs) it would be nice to have it on the army list, true. But for the moment, we're using the handout pages - printed in colour and laminated in plastic.

That there, there will be pure wine and honey and sugar
Fill up the wine cup and place it in my hand
