Thanks Mob! ^_^

Today I've got some Off Topic stuff for you.
I already told you about another hobby of mine, Lolita Fashion, when I was working on another project.
Just recently I wore Lolita for the first time in a long while. This time it was Pirate Lolita for a themed birthday party.

Can't wait to see the left arm completed. It looks like you might need more shading on that divot, though? Blends in too well, IMO.

The necklace is looking ace, too!

Interesting. Are you just using velcro strips to attach those pieces of armor?

@ Clausius:
It depends on the shape of the part, the bodypart it is supposed to be attached to and the way it should move/stay.
I used velcro for many parts like the shinpads and the left bracer. Other parts like the right bracer and the piece for the upper left arm just make use of the flexibility of the worblas, no attachement needed at all. For some parts (where the attachment should be not visible) I prefer super strong magnets. I used those on the halfter and the mask for example :)

The sword is finished! I think Atzilla did an awesome job with the airbrush! The colors blend in so well! <3

I like the sword, but think the colors could use some refining... I expected the sword to be more cream/white colored. *shrug*

EL Panel for the eyes? Can you see through it? Are you just seeing through the mesh below the eyes?

That looks killer!

Splendid! :awww:

However, I think the white lines on the bodypaint could be more defined / contrasting. At least, they look so on the concept art.
...that is, unless the effect achieved is exactly what you've intended (licentia poetica), or a result of technical limitation (paints for models and for body painting are two different things, after all).

But that's just me nickpicking. The overall result is great. :joy:

Now, we (I guess more than just "me"!) are waiting to see the completed cosplay :D

...definitely not a girl I'd like to cross! ;)

:joy:

One note though - the sword is clearly made with the inner part sharp. So you're holding it upside down in the #1 photo.

That picture is the pose from the Concept art. If you look into the overview post you'll see the comparison with the Concept.
But in the pictures to follow in the next days you'll find the other version as well, since I liked the other way better, too ;)

Excelent work! :joy: Looks imposing.

I don't know if it's just the picture, but I'd try to make the white lines either more defined or a bit thicker. But that's just nitpicking.

Good color matching on the inner thigh cloth / upper body paint!

I was really worried about that when you decided to not use body paint for your thigh, as well, but it seems I was worried for nothing. Though slightly different, only the truly nit-picky can complain!

Really really well done as usual Yashia. Another tasteful and true to the artwork/concept piece I think people like yourself are what make Cosplay worth doing and I can really appreciate it as an art form.

Fotographer: Atzilla
Editing: The "Dramatic Mode" of the camera :D

@ Claudius:
Yeah, I'm really glad they matched as well, too. Depending on the light it changes between "close enough" and "exactly the same".

 That went really fabulous!
I'd say the Oznat is better on the technical level / effect than the Chimera was, and Chimera* was already absolutely stunning.

You're improving your (stunning even before) skills, Yashia, and that is visible.

As for the photo, I think it should have an edited version, too (it is not the green and light I would expect in a tropical hell of Paradiso myself). But I guess Atzilla could have applied some filters if he'd consider it appropriate.

* which remains my personal favourite. Just a matter of taste.
