...If that is all it takes to be a copy, then Infinity has copied almost every gun in the game from other miniatures products.

Even at a glance, the scalloped design of the Mantic guns immediately and quite clearly looks very different.

If we decide to actually compare detailing too, well, then they are nothing alike.
...and you may need glasses (or an updated prescription).

Possibly less beer-goggles.

I don't mind a bit of Inspiration (says the guy with several different 'Major' and 'Batou' minis), but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed.

It's one thing to make stuff what CB or GW or whoever doesn't make, especially if it's just conversion pieces. There's a whole nother level to copying an entire design. I did see the similarities, but can't say that I'm impressed. Besides, how many of those things come in a box, and what's the AVA on a Marut?

Check the paint pots. HUGE.
If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?

Yeah, TAGs are about 1/3 or 1/4 the size of a plamo. At least these MG 1/100 (gundam scale) versions.

I don't have a TAG to compare, but compared with standard 28mm models:

Looks about right for a GenCon special mission...

For use as scenery, or with rules included?

It would be awesome scenery... And it would require awesome rules! Something tells me that ARM 20 would not be too tall an order, requiring AP ammunition or Crits to even have a chance at hurting it!

He's referring to the Fiddler event from Gencon 2013. Utterly brilliant co-op Infinity mission devised by Magno.

Crits, yes.

Fiddler was ARM 10 and 8. Because it had 5 wound location for a total of 17 wounds.
The Fiddler pretty much had equipment and skills. Yeah those ones. ;)
It had magneticly reactive armor so Monofilament was useless.
Let's see, NWI, Total Immunity, MSV2, AutoCannon, HRMC, spitfire, HFT, cluster smoke bombs, Katyusha launcher with 6x shoulder launchable flying FO drones, an engineer articulating arm, ADHls required 3 successful hits on the same location (vs PH 20) deployable nullifiers, a built in nullifier, multiterrain ( it just crushed things in its path), anti personnel legs shields (sorry, you're not CCing the legs that easy) and stats that would make a TAG look like Angus. Some other stuff too, can't remember.

In the end, the Fiddler I was controlling was taken down by a pair of Wulver "engineers".
They hid in a two story building, waited till snipers breached a whole in the chassis, jumped through the window and onto an arm, climbed up on top, passed a few "balance" and ARM checks as the Fiddler tried to shake them off and flame them with a small articulating arm, then they reached down into the burning hole in the chassis and ripped out its main CPU. The Fiddler in all it's unstoppable glory was reduced to limp mass of metal. Two orders from winning the scenario.

The pic Guges has of the grey Fiddler is one order before all this went down. Right before it reached the building in the bottom right.
