Have you played it?

Yes, I've played a couple short sessions...

Thank for the recommendation. I went to the LGS and looked at the book. I bought it. Saved a bit because it was on sale (slightly damaged). Started reading it yesterday. Enjoying it immensely! ;)

For additional inspiration, check out Guy Gavriel Kay's River of Stars and Under Heaven. Those will put you right into the mood for a game of Qin.

And Numenera sounds interesting, may have to give it a closer look.

I coulda sworn I read somewhere the next setting would be Greyhawk(?)

This is going from my faulty memory so take it all with a big grain of salt but my recollection is that the only real support they're planning for 5e is third party work for hires on big adventure paths, just like the Tyranny of Dragons saga that they did for release. The default is Forgotten Realms but that's because Tyranny is set there. The next one that's being worked on is Elemental something or another, which has been speculated as a Temple of Elemental Evil tie-in, which is why Greyhawk is believed to be the next setting. Then they'll do a third adventure path which in turn will be set in a third world, and so on.

So they're not really coming out with new worlds as much as they're just coming out with big adventures set in established worlds.

The second set of adventures is called Princes of Apocalypse - Elemental Evil.

Abolish an ancient evil threatening devastation in this adventure for the world’s greatest roleplaying game! « Called by the Elder Elemental Eye to serve, four corrupt prophets have risen from the depths of anonymity to claim mighty weapons with direct links to the power of the elemental princes. Each of these prophets has assembled a cadre of cultists and creatures to serve them in the construction of four elemental temples of lethal design. It is up to adventurers from heroic factions such as the Emerald Enclave and the Order of the Gauntlet to discover where the true power of each prophet lay, and dismantle it before it comes boiling up to obliterate the Realms. »
