After how long you've been waiting it'd only be fair to make sure you get what you want!

If you crush some numbers on the setup I supposed (let's just make it a bit clearer: 4 Core, 6 Habs, 1 Office, 2 tunnels) and PM me with the according prize I might be tempted if it's a fair deal. ;)

Otherwise I might get the bundle in steps... I still have some gift coupons lying around I want to use. ;)

Who likes mechs? Everyone? Great, well we're going to be making some! We've just finished the modelling stage on our first 2 bots which will be cast up in lovely polyurethane resin ('proper' resin ;)) as soon as we've finished proofing them prior to starting the master prints.

Here's a couple of pics of robot number 1, currently about 90mm long when packing the vulcan cannon. Pics of robot number 2 will follow shortly when Ed's finished the last few details. We'll be selling them both at Crisis in Antwerp at the start of November.

@Cho-konnit we'll have to wait until final costings to know for sure.

@Maxvon the turret when equipped with the vulcan, which is the shortest gun, is about 90mm long. Although I don't have one to compare it to, I'd say it's probably roughly the size of a Maghariba Guard, or maybe slightly smaller. We'll post pics of the proof prints next to some figures when we've got them glued together.

Here's robot number 2 in all its rendered/prototyped glory. This painted one is a proofing print to check scale before we begin the super-dooper print for the masters. One conclusion we came to is that the other robot needs to be bigger, and so it will be!

Excellent model.
Is I can see, distance between the front and rear legs is ~6 cm. If it would be 25% less, then it would be perfect substitution for all those remotes hanging around. If not, then it is fancy terrain peace.
Waiting forward to see your spidertank.

Yeah it does have a hint of T-34 about it doesn't it? :D

These 2 are going to be too big to be REMs, you'll have to wait for the next pair for that ;). These are about indulging our love of sweet robot models.

Very cool, but it makes me wonder: is there a market for these? Are there games you can actually use them for?

These particular kits aren't intended to be direct proxies for anything, just to be awesome kits in their own right as much for modeller/painters as gamers. We find that if people like a model they'll find an excuse to use it for something ;).

We finally have the other mech prototype painted at its final size, again it's a Form 1 proofing print rather than the posh master print which is being done at the moment.

Couple of pics with a dude for scale :)

I doubt that they are plastic.
Resin models like this will cost a fortune like Antenocity's stuff.

Injection-molded plastic has a much bigger upfront cost, so you'd need to figure out how to sell LOTS of whatever it is.

Yep polyurethane resin all the way. Expensive, but top notch quality which is what we like.

And most people are willing to pay for it.

You mentioned that this was a Form1 print. Do you have a personal/company Form1, or are you using someone else's? I've been thinking about getting a Form1, but I thought the minimum detail size was .3mm (a bit too coarse to make Infinity-quality prints)?

It is similar to what MAS uses for their crates and whatnot?

@section9 I'll try to get Ed to write a more in depth discussion of the Form 1, we use it for proofs because it's nice and quick where the solidscape is lovely but slow. For models of this size it's pretty good, we wouldn't use them as masters because there's still quite a lot of visible layering on some parts (on other parts the finish is great) and figure sized prints would lose a lot of detail, but if you just want to do personal hobby stuff it's great. Getting to this point was a bit of a headache though, but Ed can fill you in on that.

@arachas I don't have any MAS crates but I'd assume so.
