Re: [LaserCutCard] New Product: Infinity-esque office block

by LaserCutCard » February 3rd, 2016, 11:49 am

Image

Commerce is the lifeblood of the city, no matter what the century or planet.

This is a three-level office block that would be at home anywhere from Neo Tokyo to Coruscant.

Image

It is made from 1mm heavy card and comes supplied unassembled and unpainted in an A4 flat pack.

It features access points to all levels, including the roof.

Image

The lowest level is exactly the same height as FutureHab #1, making those heroic leaps across the alley a little easier.

Image

Multiple models can be pushed together to create one huge building.

Other FutureHabs

Once constructed it can be stored by stacking the components inside one another to save space.

This is a single-level entertainment venue from the seedier side of Neo Tokyo (or below the cloud cover on Coruscant)
It is made from 1mm heavy card and comes supplied unassembled and unpainted in an A4 flat pack.
Once constructed it can be stored by stacking the components inside one another to save space.
The outer walls are removable to allow models to move inside.

All three models have the same price: $15.95 per model

Re: [LaserCutCard] Weird looking vehicles and turrets

by LaserCutCard » February 10th, 2016, 10:31 am

So although Infinity is not really that vehicle-heavy, we have some options for urban pacification vehicles that might fit.

We are releasing our three turrets as stand-alone kits for $3.95 each.

Also, the tracked APC has come down in price to $15.95 and all the other vehicles are now only $17.95

ZT3 guided missile turret.

These are all compatible with the tracked APC and the Ratel IFV and can be bought as an add-on for these vehicles for an extra $2.95
(the Ratel always comes with the 90mm turret but you can add on one of the others)

Games wise no, but scenery wise yes.
If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?

We’re working on some 28mm brownstone buildings for use in contemporary games but they might be useful for older human worlds (or at least the slummy parts of Earth) in Infinity.

The basic idea is to have a core building and then have detailing layers that can change the look depending on how you add them on.

Here are some shots of the first two buildings, mixed in with some of our “urban scatter” terrain and a water tower

If you are wondering how strong these buildings are, given that the FLGS can be a brutal place, you can watch this to see a destruction test on one of them

Would definitely work in a Blade Runner style cyberpunk world, like old Earth. A friend of mine was just looking for something like this for this very reason.

by LaserCutCard » March 16th, 2016, 8:17 pm

We have released a range of futuristic buildings aimed at Infinity.

The buildings on their own are just basic shapes but they can be combined with themselves and our range of DIY doors and windows to make some attractive and very cheap buildings.

Click on each image to see a bigger version if you want

*** The Round House ***

It is called the "Round House" because 6 of them will form a circular structure

Image
This costs around $5 for one - and can be stacked and combined in numerous ways.

Image
It can be combined with ours (or anyone else's) doors and windows to give buildings like this.

Image
As a bundle deal, you can get 3 round houses, 8 doors and 16 windows for only $16.50!

*** The Comma House ***

The largest of the three and slightly more complicated to build. This is truly a unique building that will draw attention on any table it is on

Image
This costs around $9 for one - and can also be combined in numerous ways.

As a bundle deal, you can get 2 comma houses, 8 doors and 16 windows for only $21.17!

*** The Arc House ***
A multi-level building with gracefully swept wings, this was also referred to as the "bird house" earlier in development. It too can be combined with itself to create numerous different configurations.

It is surprisingly easy to cover an entire table with these relatively cheaply

I will take better photos once I have all of these painted

When you get it in a displayable state, mind breaking down what buildings you used and how much it would cost?

I think it'd be a great way to show people how cheap and easy it can be to have their own tables!

The painted picture or the price list? Because the second is already avaliable (hint 5, 3, 3, 128... ok, a 4 is missing).

Had the thought, but can you mix and match building fairly seamlessly?

For example, the comma buildings have those very neat walkways, but are those walk ways the same heigh as perhaps the tops of the round house buildings?

;)

I am working on a bundle deal for an entire table.

Rather than ship everything piecemeal I want to do a "table in a box" where the price includes the shipping. It is more expensive to ship like that but I think it is better to send it in one go with tracking than in a bunch of separate envelopes

I do NOT know why this did not occur to me earlier - will take some photos and post asap. They are not exactly level but the pieces go together really well

My ones are not flush as I have added windows already to many of the flat sides, but you get the idea

Re: [LaserCutCard] Variable Geometry Scendship

by LaserCutCard » September 13th, 2016, 12:30 pm

Hi - it has been a while because I don't like to post things here unless they have some definite Infinity utility

Image

This is a model we have been working on for some time and are proud to finally release it.
The scendship is a high altitude VTOL vehicle capable of dropping down from orbit and then taking off and returning.
Since it can ascend and descend, it is... the scendship (thanks to Iain M Banks for the name)
It represents the safest and most economical way to
- drop your troops into combat from orbit
- escape from the top of your arcology before the assassins get you
- hop between theatres of combat delivering chaotic war engines and tainted troops (spikes not included)

The engine pods are mounted on swivels that can move, and feature locking pins in case the engines become loose over time.

How did I miss those brownstones, I will need to show them to a friend of mine for Batman/Marvel gaming!

Does the Scendship have a detailed interior?
“I'm curious, son. When has 'This might be a trap' ever stopped you?”
“Stopped? Never. Slowed me down while I load the guns? Every time.”

The brownstones have not been released yet so you are good there :)

The scendship is built around a hollow core but does not have any interior at all. We tried to keep the cost down and the strength up as much as possible and having an interior would definitely compromise both of those.

However if you are bold with the knife you can easily cut the doors through and kitbash it.
