CNC Workshop Tornadodo Dropship

This is the dropship I've been waiting for...

Tornadodo Dropship

I can see this being very useful for the RPG as well!

...and I may need to replace the static fan blades with acrylic to give a sense of motion...

Yeah, I agree that is a really nice aircraft. That might actually be the first piece of mdf scenery I buy.

Man, gotta add that to my CNC workshop list of things I want...

...and I may need to replace the static fan blades with acrylic to give a sense of motion...

Another trick is paint and seal the fan blades, then cover with epoxy and swirl the epoxy. Might be a challenge with the open fans, though!

You've piqued my curiosity - do you have a pic that demonstrates this technique?

No, read about it in a Fine Scale modeler, guy was building a diorama with an A6 in flight and mentioned doing that to the engine intakes (mounted the bird with acrylic rods into the exhausts).

I'm not sure about the materials of the fan blades, from the assembly instructions it looks like they might be 1mm acrylic already.

Or card. CNC is branching into MDF+card latelly.
If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?

I believe the blades are normally thinner MDF, though I don't know for sure.

I wrote them am email, and they're willing to replace the fans with solid clear acrylic pieces, so long as I order over $100 of stuff.

I'll report again after I see it all in the MDF!
