So I started off by buying some lasercut buildings.

From the leftovers, combined with a GWS 40K vehiclebit, some other plastic bits ’n pieces and a plastic cookie-jar, I constructed this bunker:
Re-using bits of old modems I made a container (the big red thing with white stripes)
And it fits onto the garage, with enough space left over for figs to move around
I also bought a spaceship to use as a building
And all of the above, plus some assorted props :
), maybe those will help. Also somebody in the official forums was experimenting with those slideshow keychains, those make decent "video billboards", with actual working displays (only static images, but that's what you get with those cheapo thingies).
