Photographing lil men - What's your set up?

by Levitas » February 4th, 2013, 11:14 pm

I'm ok with my pics , but always room to improve, so just curious what kind of set up people have to take photos of their minis. Lighting, backgrounds and camera (budget or wallet buster?). Any common mistakes or genius tips? Do you like the dramatic 'forge world' style?

On the main forum? or here?

Forge world style is minis posed in a photoshopped battle back ground. They add smoke, lighting effects and muzzle flashes etc.

Do they use proper effects, cut the photos into pieces and make it into a video like CB does? :v:

Forge World style is this: http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2013/01/ ... -your.html

For photography, I just use my DSLR and an Ott-lite. Use the macro setting, hold my breath, hold the camera steady... it works pretty well. :D
