Conversion help

The fiance and I just got a big haul of Infinity stuff this past week and we want to do a few conversions. So we have a couple questions for the group.

1. I now have three Pan-O starters and want to do something with the excess fusiliers. I've already got the two female fusiliers sorted, one is trading arms with the HMG fusilier, the other is getting out extra reverend healers medikit hand so she can become a trauma doc for me, but I've got four male fusiliers and nothing to do with them. If I build them as just bog standard Fusiliers I will have six in total, three of each pose, and that just seems A. Excessive and B. Boring. I'm already making a Hacker into a Machinist so that's out, and I don't really want to make ASA Regulars since their box is coming out this year, from what I've heard, and Kumau would be kind of tough, plus I have Order Sergeants to sub for them. I thought maybe converting one or two into a Locust and just ignoring the official one when it comes out, I don't play tournaments so I don't worry about conversion policies, heck all of my drones are from Gates of Antares. So what I'm asking for suggestions/ideas on what to do with the four fusiliers. To specify two are the gun up pose, two are the gun down, looking to the side pose. I also have an extra missile launcher Fusilier and an extra Nisse for parts, though the later might become a Black Friar.

2. We want to swap the arms on the Spektr and Grenzer that came with her second starter. I found a finished product of what I'm looking for, with the spektr's head turned, but that person also removed the shoulder pads from the spektr arms and put them on the grenzer arms for the spektr to have. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to go about doing this conversion, or if anyone has done the same thing a different way. Also, do you think modelling the Light Flamethrower is worth it, or overkill?

My suggestion for the Fusiliers:
I bought some of the Trumpeter 1/35 weapons sets (get the ones with 2x or 3x weapons and an accessory sprue, not the one with 3x or 4x weapons and no accessory sprue) and added an AN/PEQ box from the accessory sprue to the gun of my "extra" Zanshi and Keisotsu.

Instant obvious Forward Observer models! I'd do one of each pose with the box added to the top of their rifles. Sorry, no pics of the conversions at present.

I also bought a bunch of backpacks and pouches from The Assault Group: http://www.theassaultgroup-shop.co.uk/w ... -equipment Put a backpack and a big bag on the thigh of two models, made Zanshi and Keisotsu Paramedics. Again, no pics of the finished conversions, sorry.

You can also do some funky anime hair colors on each of them to help make them look different.

For the Nomads, I'd look at making a greenstuff mold of the Spektr's shoulder pads and press-molding them onto the Grenzer arms. that's a lot simpler than butchering the arms of the two models into 2+ parts each.

As far as modeling the LFT goes, well, I did a couple arm swaps of Shang Ji to Tiger Soldiers, to give me Shang Ji multirifle and Spitfire and two Tiger Soldiers with the LFT modeled. But that was me being OCD about things, and the Shang Ji had a combiflamer to "borrow"

We decided to drop the conversion of the Genzer and the Spektr. We're going to save the spektr for doing a moran massai conversion with some Jaguars. The Grenzer is going to get a Spitfire sculpted off of the multi-sniper. I'm not a big fan of mark FO with parts because I don't actually use them that often; we don't play ITS so I don't have a huge demand for specialists. We're using one of the male bodies from the SW box and one of the gun down Fusiliers to make a pair of Locusts, one with a Breaker Combi and one with a Marksman's rifle. We're loosely basing the design off of a mock up someone did for April Fools but with some differences. We're using on of the Nisse too make a Black Friar, I'm deciding if I'll ever use a multi-sniper or if I'd rather just have an alternate Multi-Rifle profile to go along with the new one. We dropped converting the Hacker and we're going to use the other gun down fusilier to make the Machinist; though I might swap him for a gun up one but I haven't decided yet. We're also using the Hacker's combi to give it to a spare ORC body we have, using the father knights arms so I can have a generic HI with a combi for Proxying. That was a good use of the PEQ boxes though, if I ever need to do FOs I'll use that one because its nice and simple. Now just to figure out how to model a breaker combi and I'm done.
