I am debating on how to do the glowy bits, a bright yellow might work with the greens I've got going right now.

Going to do some tests for that and edge highlights as well. Then it is on to a Remote for Mayacast.

That's some heavy contrast. I'd suggest doing more smooth transitions via blending to ease on the sudden change in color. I'd also add in more contrasting color. The blue is nice but is not visible from the front and is well hidden from the back. Consider adding LED lighting and whatnot in a similar blue for contrast.

Let us know how it goes! Good on you for participating in Mayacast's contest, as well! I, myself, am not quite at the level where I think I could compete for that reasonably without dropping a lot of current projects I'm working on.

You still have a month and a half to go! Take your time! No need to rush!

Oh dear. That's an error on my part! I was off by a month!

The current season ends MAY 31ST.

I will correct that bit in the topic post.

?
Bwahahahahaaaaa
Ok that more than takes the pressure away.
Going to give my entry a wee bit if a rest for a week or two. Should be enough to see some new inspirations popping up for the painting scheme, and I will be able to paint with a lot less stress

By the way, who else was stressing his way to the end-of-april deadline like me?

I wasn't stressing about this campaign even though I don't even have a model to enter yet but, well, circumstances.
The extended (sort of) time limit does give me more time to actually get something done.. I want to do at least a little better than last time, when I posted a model I wasn't quite happy with 20 minutes before the deadline.

Might even drop out if I feel like it, I've kind of stopped playing Infinity anyway..

I'm thinking about entering (and actually getting my mini done :P ).

Would a Hac Tao count towards the Heavy Infantry theme?

Hi everyone,

I was hoping to enter this big guy into the mix.

He's already got a primer of black.

Your style is always so interesting. The armor looks almost like painted brushed steel.

Pretty good blending and highlighting!

Since you finished this one so quick, are you going to try and do up another?

Thanks! I started April 2nd, but was too lazy to post the before picture until now. And yup I have the Mobile Brigada all lined up to do next. Pretty excited to get back to painting some Nomads after a long stretch of PanO. :D

Also this thread with the work in progress pictures is pretty inspiring. Makes me want to get an airbrush.
