Having spent 8 hours or so on Yojimbo (and not even finished) just now, I can say that 3.5 hours is amazing for the results you churned out here! Of course, the result is amazing on its own.

Beautiful paintjobs, nice look on that Aleph armor with the more unusual warm brown/bone color. Can I ask what colors that is?

Thanks! I don't think the colour reproduction in my Aleph photographs is 100% representative but it's actually a crazy blend of:

Dark turquoise -> purple -> peach -> orange -> yellow -> white

I should probably re-take a couple of photos with them using my new method that includes the use of a grey card for setting the right colour temperature / white balance.

I offset those armour sections against cool purple-greys and blue-black to add a bit of visual interest.

I really should get a photo taken of my Marut, come to think of it, as I think the blends are easier to discern on the larger spaces. I realise I've only got her included in group shots at the moment. It is a she, right? I mean there are TAG boobs.

Amazing paint jobs!

I especially like what you made of the camo pattern. This one really looks realistic...mine was just a bunch of colour splotches compared to yours.

Greetings

Also, as discussed above, I decided to get some shots of the Marut while I had the camera set up.

Thanks Chaps! :)

Unfortunately I recently came down with a nasty cold that really knocked me out of my painting routine. Seems like I'm getting back to firing on all cylinders again so I finished up the ORC and the Akali from Op:Ice

I like the way you've painted the Pan-O weapons - nice and simple detial that breaks down the weapon. Also your Haqq army in Tan and Red is simply sexy. Bravo Zulu.

I've often found the weapons are the most boring bits to paint, so after browsing some art books - notably the Art of Mass Effect - I decided to do those white elements to give some visual interest.

Hi Maxvon

Incredible percision on those models. You make them look like they are 75mm.

The Mass effect inspiration is a good idea. I also find the weapons of Destiny to be very inspiring and I'll try in the future to imitate their color schemas, which is usually based on Off Wihite - Black - Orange in various arrangements. I'm also bored to paint all black weapons.

Really enjoyed painting him and I'm especially pleased with how the face and shaven head came out. It was also nice to have the Painting Challenge thread to act as motivation to get him finished.

I think all but the PanO ones are homemade. Certainly the Aleph ones are various bits of plasticard and etched brass scribed and stuck on.
