Takoashi University Odalisque Proxy Conversion

Another Soda Pop Miniatures Conversion, this time taking the lovely school girl models from the Back to School Pack(also available individually)! Idea came after looking at Miss Tough Cookie Club and thinking "Man, she'd make a great JSA theme'd Odalisque."

So here's a proxy Haris team following the theme of Sexy Schoolgirl Bodyguards. Might make for a great Maya show; young hot blooded boy doesn't know it, but he's super important for Reasons! A new transfer student turns out to be a Speculo Killer with a mission; kill our main character! Enter his undercover bodyguards who have been posing as; the Sporty Rival(Naturally specializing in a Contender)! The Spirited Class President/Band Captain who leads the Harris Team! And last but not least, the no-nonsense Tsundere Bad Girl with a Spitfire! Special guest starring Go-Go Marlene, as-

...

Or whatever! I've got a ton of Odalisques and didn't really need more... but I enjoyed the conversions none the less.



The right arm on the sporty girl is actually a spare from Reaper's Coraline Thaddington, originally sporting a derringer; a dainty weapon replaced with the ridiculously dainty Contender from the Husam blister.



I wish my camera and lighting were better for showing Miss School Band's hand resting on the Haqq Rifle, but that's neither here nor there. Rifle is from the Hafza blister.



Miss Tough Cookie was an easy one; clip off her sword, clip up the handle of the Husam's(probably) spitfire, work finesse, edge them up and glue. Oh and turn her arm, which was a separate piece, so that was easy.



All in all, I like'em, almost as much as the Maya show I just pitched. Not pictured is Miss Study Hall, because her pose didn't lend itself as much towards having a weapon beyond strapping it across her back. Now all I need is a fitting protag to be the LT...

No, now all you need is to take photos with Infinity miniatures, so we can check how all them fit.

Turn all the lights in the room, even the ones in next room if they have a good "path" to where you place the miniatures. Maybe let them warm up some minutes if they are a bit lazzy. Use the camera flash, but with a card in front, so it bounces to the walls and then to the models. Yes, it means you are inside the light box, and no, it doesn't work so nice if the room is painted in weird colors (white is the best).

The middle one doesn't sit well with me. I think it's the pose and the fact you can't do much with it without resculpting.

The other two came out much, much better. Good work with them.

I would also like a comparison shot to see how they mesh with Infinity minis.

Better late than never, here they are. Not the best angle or lighting, but they're shorter than a mobile brigada, slightly taller than a female alguacil with slightly larger anime heads, and taller than the hunched Grenzer, though his pose doesn't help much with that.

It is quite an up and down with these girls. First I thought yay. Then nay. After you showed us first shots, I was totally yay again. Now I see how huge they are... I am on the nay side again...

They may actually fit better with the current scale of minis. I recently got the drop Spetsnaz and the size different is significant. The Spet is ~5 mm (1 head) taller than my Veteran Kazak (from the starter), and bulkier in terms of arm, leg, wrist, and ankle thickness.
