Link Teams & Extra burst

Ok so this is not a question per say but more of a rant of sorts. Personally I do not like link teams. I never use them and do not think the addition of the rule has made the game better in any way. People seem to like them though and I respect that so for the most part I just go along with it cuz what other choice do I have.
The one thing that really bothers me about them is the +1 burst in ARO. Now for the most part this is a cool thing and I have no issues with it. When I do have an issue with it is in the following circumstances.
Certain weapons are burst 1. Ok fine you get an extra burst when linked fine, I can even live with that.
But what bothers the heck out of me is when you have a burst 1 weapon that only has 2 uses suddenly this weapon can now fire a total of 4 shots if only used in ARO with a link team. If the damn weapon only has to uses and two rounds of ammo how does it mystically get two extra rounds when ARO'd in a link team.
I know it's not the end of the world and when it happens it happens but this kind of bothers me. Maybe I missed something in the rules or on the forum that states these weapons don't get the bonus of being linked but if not they should.

The worst is the really dangerous weapons like a missile launcher with a burst 2 in ARO.
I use link teams most of the time, but since I almost exclusively play Corregidor, I'm limited to Alguaciles, Wildcats, and Mobile Brigadas, where the most dangerous weapons I ever bring are an HMG or a Spitfire. I know Wildcats can bring a Heavy Rocket Launcher, and Alguaciles can bring a Light Grenade Launcher, but I would just feel so dirty bringing one of those...

You never get extra amno on disposable weapons with the +1 burst, just the ability to unload your weapon with a single order/aro.
Maybe it hasn't been reported in the FAQ, but bostria and Interruptor were clear about that in the link-team thread.
Edit: Got it:
FAQ: Support Bonuses
- If you have linked a troop with a disposable weapon,the Support Bonuses also increases the Burst?
The B can never exceed the amount of ammunition available, the B of a D.E.P. is always 1, for example.

No, you get 2 shots and that's it. A Yaogat link with Panzerfaust shooting with Burst 2 uses both rockets in one shot.

I used a loup link with a sniper for the first time on sat and it pretty much rocked my world.
B3 15dmg at long range with next to no retaliation? Yes please!

actually, the best thing about order is not the +1 B ( its great but only your leader shoot in active mode) or the extra wip to discover (again great to spot camo and hidden units when you don't have access to msv) or even the sixth sense (its great in ARO)
no what I find to be the best feature is order efficiency. With ONE order you can move a FULL team of 5! With that I can actually make my knight in a MO sectorial go somewhere and reach distant objectives.
its dangerous, a single area of effect, or a single hack can screw your plans so you have to be careful.
as for anything that looks too good to be true - like shooting more ammo than you have - every time you see something that does't look right, go check the wiki after the game or come here and ASK.
Infinity rules are well made but there is a lot of people (including me darnit lol) that make assumption and mistake! Every game I learn something I was doing wrong and every game I get better. I don't slow a game down - I check after and do some research.
I find that its part of the fun now.

Funny you brought this up, a friend of mine just asked if you can opt to not fire at full burst with a disposable weapon in a link team to prevent using all ammo up. Anyone know if you can opt to not fire full burst?

Yes, you can always opt to use less than the full Burst. It's in the FAQ somewhere.

You can opt to fire less than full burst, it was discussed lately in the context of hostile environment rolls for Paradiso.

I'm sure someone else could interpret it differently, but I'd say that perfectly reasonably reads as you can choose how many shots to fire (provided that's between 1 and B).

That's how I was reading it but apparently for the person who asked me about it meant just different levels of the burst stat.
