Hallo all,

O-12 is cool but I think having this topic in English here has some value of it's own. For instace if foreign guys come over for a time and bring their minis. So thanks for putting this up.

Hello to all fellow german players.

I'm happy for this place here since I just dont get comfortable with the o12 forum, I havent figured out why :?:

EDIT: I think it's a good idea to state where we are from.

I'm from Bonn.

As this forum will be sponsored on the Infinity Homepage probably a lot of people will end up here.
So either we put down a list where to find the nearest player or we just permanently suggest O-12 so they can search for themself. Maybe Harle could edit the List into his first post? Or someone more motivated than me start a new one :morning:

So Anyways, straight from the RuhrPott

Hey all!

Greetings from Bonn, too! I just restarted Infinity after I bought the rulebook some 5 years ago.

@CoveredInFish: Maybe you can introduce me to the rules since I never actually played the game.

I should be able to do that. I'm not a pro player but I believe To have a solid grasp of the basic rules and most advanced stuff

I have a table and unpainted JSA and tohaa.

I'd be happy to play an introduction game or two ... but finding time might be a bit difficult. I work as a Chef so many evenings are blocked

Yes, it's similar for me. I am travelling constantly between Münster and Bonn on the weekends. Let me first get my miniatures and then I am going to contact you via PM.

Hmmm between Bonn and Münster on the weekends? Maybe you can manage to stop by at the Mülheimer Spieletreff next Saturday :D

It´s just a 15 minuts detour (if google mpas is to be trusted) and there will be some players between 11 and 17 o clock playing Infinity (and other stuff of course) :D

We just founded a Facebook group to organize the infinity players in the Köln/Bonn region. So, should you happen to look for fellow players in that region you're invited to join us there.

Long time no post, so I'll relive this thread.

The year 2014 comes to a close and it has been succesful, in Germany too.

To give you a little washup what happened:

-We ran nearly 200 demo-events allover Germany
-We had demoes at all major Cons and at some smaller/regional conventions
-The German Infinity Championship closed after 40 tournaments with a 2-day-event end of november.

There is a Facebook-group with a bit over 300 people, so come and join ;)
https://www.facebook.com/groups/703900172981948/

What's ahead of us in 2015? Probably lots of N3-Events all over the country, the next season of our nationals for sure and lots of demoing Infinity. We got some real neat plans for SPIEL ;)

Hi Lerk1t,
glad to see you around. I cross my fingers for you to establish an InfiNity community in Stuttgart

Thanks, but there already is. Thanks to the guys from WahnZinn.
But would love to help establishing an even bigger community after I got myself into the game.

Hey guys,

the NRW corner seems to be teeming with Infinity players. Are there any in Duesseldorf by chance? I'd like to take my PanO out for a spin more often. I can even offer a table (right now three moto.tronica sets, and currently building towards a variety of MDF terrain :) ).

So, if there's any players or playing opps around, let me know.

Best,
Kenza

I can only speak for Köln/Bonn. It's not that far away though.

Good to know. Seems like Infinity communities are a bit on the rarer side of the hobby. I had hoped there might be more players.

There are. You just have to move to Munich ;)
I expect most of the tournaments this year (about 1 per month) to host 20+ players. And there are about 12-15 players here in Munich who enjoy at least 2 games a month.

Munich, hm? I'm occasionally in and around MUC, but seldom long enough to also get a game in. In the past few months I've only stayed for the day and have taken the flight back in the evenings.

But in case I end up there for a longer stay in the future, I might get in touch. :)

There are several groups in NRW. Try searching for Infinity Köln-Bonn on Facebook for example or come over to o-12.de the german Infinity forums

All right, will do. But there's obviously no way around traveling to play - something I'd wished to avoid to get the occasional game in. So much to do and so little time - sometimes being an adult with a day job sucks. :D
