The problems started earlier, over 24h ago. And still keep on, randomly things fail to load. My guess is it started with HS, and it continues with the new models.

I only go there is someone links me directly to a thread and not at all if that link starts with a comment like.

"You won't believe what person A said and now troll X,Y and Z is saying this"

Honestly the place is frustrating as hell. If you want rule clarifications better to just ask IJW through one of the many facebook groups assuming the Wiki isn't helpful first.

I finally quit the place after yet another frustrating attempt to post some images in my terrain thread. Man, that text editor blows. But I had pretty much stopped reading anything outside of the 'Fussion' section anyway. Sic transit gloria forum infinitum

What, again?

I have a feeling that he has kinda addicted to Infinity / has a love/hate relation to it. He always comes back so he can rage-quit again with extra dramatism on the side. Because, like, quitting once (and not coming back) just isn't enough for him!

What strikes me as more odd is that he performs much more extravagant conversions on his "Zu-Yong" models than it would take to give the Guija his HMG.

It's the principle of the thing.

Still, I'd prefer to swap guns with the older model. The huge HMG is perfect for a two-handed grip.

But no way I'm gonna repose/resculpt a TAG with pilot arms :suicide:

Drop the mini-arms? It also saves the mental images of what happens with the legs in the official version. Because no gymnast would run like that... and that is the less scary version.

The legs are already chopped. It's like Python's Black Knight, but starting from the bottom.

And now that I notice, maybe the head has been chopped too. Or at least, smashed.

Anyway, arms will be smashed as soon as he tries some movements. They make as much sense as the huge boobs of scifi/fantasy females. They get in the way.

CB, you showed HI have manequins inside. Now show they can move without overlapping. :v:

Damn, going to have to redo the HMG to have the multi feeds. So NOT doing an HMG with a magazine (except maybe for the EXP rounds).

The more I watch this TAG, the less I like it.
Head is horrendous, you must give me that... It's mostly Angel's painting style that makes it look good, in my opinion.

But worse, this and the old Guijia perfectly demonstrate how this game, in ten years, went from Appleseed to Titanfall... :(

No, I want proper grips or separate fingers, like in older Infinity models. :argh:

MoB, I don't agree regarding the slave arms. That design seems plenty applicable unless the TAG is attempting to squeeze its nonexistential boobs together.

As long as the main actuator arms follow the movement of the slave arms, I don't think it's likely they'd ever contact each other. That's the general idea with this type of system, at least.

I kinda wish the fingers were all together rather than 2 + 2, personally. Hand-wavey, instead of finger-wavey.

I agree, sometimes the fingers would be better all together rather than 2+2.

I still really like this TAG, I think the head looks good and even though it is a bit more "modern" than classic appleseed I appreciate the change. Some people dislike the pose but I think is cool that they are trying to make a giant robot that can perform delicate movements.

Broken fingers because they are spread? In this model not so much a problem, as the mech ones are bigger, and the small ones are in somewhat protected place (for casting/shipping, cast it with extra metal at the end, of small ones at least, so buyer has to trim this protection). But well, if they think the big ones are not big enough, and they can only think of these hand poses... :ok:

Claudius Sol wrote:As long as the main actuator arms follow the movement of the slave arms, I don't think it's likely they'd ever contact each other. That's the general idea with this type of system, at least.

Just flexing the elbows would mean the mech hands hit the meat elbows instead of going in front of the TAG. I was referring to the big arms hitting the small arms because the meat shoulders are in front of the mechanical ones and I was clearly guessing problems, one quick look again and found out the elbow issue (or funnier: tickle the air in front to indirectly crush your ribs, because "the human is the boobs"™) that is obvious in the picture. This system works when the controller is far away of the controlled, not near or "inside", otherwise you have to pay attention to lengths and positions when copying the angles.
Image
Or instead of hit elbows, using above picture as reference again, think about out of range by proxy... the small arm could touch the big thigh if moved down a bit, so there is no way the big arm will go down much more than it already is. Really, it's worse than huge boobs, because here you have to take into account two bodies that can intersect each other.

I don't think you understand. The physical limitations of the shoulder and arm make it so that it doesn't happen. There is a physical "blindspot" that prevents physical interaction from the slave arms and the manipulator arms. It's wired into the system and hardware. The shoulder armor is probably designed in such a fashion as to limit this movement, even.

Yes, of course, if the system doesn't let you move, or doesn't react to commands, it will not collide, that is a given. But then the ranges are not so practical. I forgot the rule of cool.

There could be some remapping (looks bad in model) but then you are probably better using the cube or some other connection (mini arms not needed, or reduced to precision tasks as in other fluff).

Roll the hand/forearm over and it's doing a "come and get frakked up" stance, which works with the blade.

The Vulcan Salute is better than the Tactical Trip-hazard, Tactical Car Door, or Fist of Fury.
