:
http://goo.gl/RojbGSo far it did feel lacking in range somewhat, and looking at it the ekdromoi seems a bit out of place, but i like the model, so..meh.
Im currently considering picking up a box of rebots to swap out one of the myrmidons (probably the shotgun) for a Zayin with HMG for a bit more ranged punch.
Any other suggestions?

Your list seems to be geared for close range combat. Depending on the type of board you play on, this may or may not always work in your favor. Controlling fire lanes is somewhat difficult with your choice of models.
I would suggest:
-Swap out the Shotgun Myrmidon for two Thorakitai with Chain Rifles. This will give you some more orders, and their SMG/Chain weapons really excel at close-mid range, the same one the Myrmidon is good at.
-Swap the Dasyu for a Naga hacker, and upgrade the Ekdromos to Diomedes. A Mk12 without SWC cost coming in from an unexpected angle can open up some interesting possibilities.
-Exchange Combi Myrm for a Thorakitai with Spitfire. More firepower to fill in leftover points.
My suggestion:
Aleph | 8 models________________________________________________________
Myrmidon Officer
BS Lt (32|0.5)

Myrmidon
Chain (16|0)

Thorakites
smg (13|0)

Thorakites
smg (13|0)

Thorakites
Spitfire (23|1)

Naga
Hacker (37|0.5)

Diomedes (44|0)

Dakini Tacbot
HMG (22|1)

Thanks for the reply, must admit id not looked at the thorakites at all, they are pretty cheap eh?
not over fussed on the model though :/
so is diomedes basically a special character ekdromos?

Also, get rid of the Naga and run the whole list as the Steel Phallu... err Phalanx

i did briefly look into SP, but couldnt see the benefit. Does the sectorial really do anything for me at 200 point games?

Thorakitai and link teams.

Yes, Diomedes is a special Ekdromos that comes with a unique weapon (the Mk12), some stat upgrades and most notably, NWI.
Thorakitai are cheerleaders with very good armor, 360 vision and a nice selection of weapons. They are also the default (and only) profile for our SpecOp, so the Chandra is a good way to proxy one if you don't like the basic model.
Steel Phalanx grants you access to Enomotarchos, a special link team. E.g. Nesaie Alke comes with a Spitfire and some stat bonuses, and is only 4pts and 0.5SWC more expensive than the trooper Spitfire. She can link with Thorakitai, negating frenzy.
The main disadvantage for SP is the reliance on characters, with Machaon and Thamyris being the only viable choices for Doctor and Hacker, respectively.

Mk12 is hardly unique, Eudoros has it. Thamyris is not the only hacker, you have a Myrm hacker girl in the starter box, and an Ekdromos hacker.

By unique I meant that regular Ekdromoi do not have access to it. Machaon also isn't the only Doctor (Thorakitai Paramedic, who is cheap but lackluster), but I consider the Myrmidon hacker somewhat overpriced (although I absolutely love the model!) The Ekdromos hacker is ok, I guess, opening up some tactical options.

A Mk12 on a AD trooper is unique... no one else has it!

A Ekdormoi is the surprise hacker from hell! A hacker Ekdromoi can also serve as a repeater, a very violent and hard to remove one, for other hackers as well.

I only play Aleph for more than 3 years,so i try to help you
I suposse that your list its only for "game for kill" and not for missions, right? If this is correct...
-Hacker: For missions,my opinion its that one of the best hackers its the Naga.Fast, cheap, and very usefull. But for a "optimized list" I think that its better the Deva Hacker. Why? : More cheap (2 pts) 1 point more of ARM,NWI and PB -3.The naga its more usefull for killing than a hacker naga. The function of your hacker in the army its only for take the Dakini, and if you use one hacker, better one than can take more hurt.
-Dakini HMG: cheap, good and with the best gun of the game. But Aleph can survive without the HMG,and you invest 22 pts+1 CAP and the price of a hacker only for one gun,one HMG with BS11.Yes,you have mimetism, but normaly the enemy have a better BS than you,and more cheap HMG than you.I know that its a hard miniature, but not necesary in your list...
-Ekdromoi: A very good miniature, but always, its better Diomedes than the Ekdromoi. The NWI (very good for this type of units) and no CAP cost, make that Diomedes laugh of the rest of Ekdromos. You lost the HMG for a MK12,yes,but almost always you enter near of the enemy,so many times you have the +3 for the shoot, and only lost 1 dice....
-Myrmidons: I make aleph for the greeks.I love the greek history and the history of this figthers for me,its very good.I use all type of myrmidons, and only compensate 2 types of myrmidons for a generical army: 1-Chain rifle.Cheap,useful,fast...and a WB whit DDO,all for 16 pts !! 2-Spitfire version.Better than the Dakini HMG for shooting. You use the Myrmidon in the half of the table, and the Dakini in your deploy zone, but a standar visor (lvl 1) fuck your mimetism, and not your DDO.
The Shotgun and Combi myrmidons,in my oppinion, never compensates the price.Because a lot of times you use the smoke granade and not the weapon.Ah,and because the chain its better than the shotgun and combi a lot of times. With the price of this 2 miniatures, you take 3 myrmidons with chain...
Attack unites:
for 200 pts army,I think that aleph can take some miniatures that are hard to pull for the enemy.Dasyu sniper, for example, its very useful, strong and can make a lot of damage in the enemy. The cheap version its the naga sniper.
but if you are thinking use only greek unites (except the dakini) its better than you play with the sectorial, and take fenix and Eudoros (not the official myrmidon) for the army. This two miniatures are fast, cheap and good for kill the enemy...
But I dont know what miniatures you have...so maybe my tips not have utilities for you :p

All personal preference...
I find the Ekdromoi just fine when you want to fit them into your lists. You can take two chainrifle Ekdromos for the cost of Diomedes but you can always take Diomedes if you like.
Dakinis... never ever discount them. I love the little buggers because of the the 6-4 MOV... you can get around to places you need to in a hurry and doing it in less orders.
Myrms, I find the BS and Combi to work just fine. I like the Combi as he gives you a larger threat range then the Chain Rifle and stack that on top with ODD... go hunt some cheerleaders down! He might cost you 25 points but he's bound to get it back if you make him work for it

about the dakinis, yes,i dont discuss the efectivity of them, but I say that you need a hacker. If you want dakinis, get a lot of them (and REMs,with HMG total reaction, they are good....)
About the ekdromois, when they go out, here in spain the people talk about 2 of them: Hacker (for missions) and chain version (cheap and with a lot of uses),the HMG version its good to,but more expensive than others...
About the myrms,I think that a "defensive" fireteam in Greek sectorial they have more uses.I like a fireteam with Fenix,2 with combi and 1 chain. Not cheap, but good for defense some points. But the chain its a very good gun,and if you have a Myrm and you go up with him,you can throw smoke grenades at 15s (12 PHI+3 bonus) and your enemy shoot to you at -6 mod for the DDO.
And the chain have more than 21 cms of range of shooting...and BLI2,in cober 5,easy to take it with the smoke.
And if you have 3-4 myrms, you can make coordinate orders, and complicate the live to your enemy

Rrright, what's with the Spanish meta's allergy to AD HMG? My friend spent a week in Barcelona last summer and people were like

WTF he takes a Garuda HMG

and he did well, so it's not like that was a lousy option or something. I hear boarding shotguns are popular there, is it true and why?

I recently started playing Infinity also and after some consideration here is the 200pts list i came up with, mostly for killing missions until we get a better grasp of the rules and start playing real missions. I have to note that one factor when making the list was also low budget (I made it with just the A.S.S Sectorial and two Blisters).

In spain is not usual use HMG in aleph, because we habe better guns in our list
Board shotgun? Yes, popular, but obly in some units. Its more popular the chain, for me, one of the better guns in the game xD
The HMG in aleph isnt bad option, but better use CAP in a asura spitfire, or aquiles, or dasyu sniper, than a dakini/garuda HMG. Why? Maybe the meta here, but always more income deploy CAP in other unit than this 2.
A paratrooper with HMG always its a good option,in any army, but for aleph you must take a hacker, and use you points in a hacker than you cant use in a lot of situations, except in a marut
